Barbie: Game Girl is a 2D action platformer released in 1992 for the Game Boy based on the Barbie doll franchise.

Unlike most Barbie games, this game is a standard platform game rather than a simulation of the life of a female fashion model. Barbie must find an outfit for her date with Ken. The environment features a shopping mall level, an underwater level, and other worlds to explore. The game is also centered around collecting gems and pearls to fend off opponents.

Enemies in the game include the usual sharks found in underwater levels in addition to jellyfish. Moving cubes of sugar must also be defeated in the game. The bonus rounds of the game are essentially a Concentration-type game where matching useridentical cards lead to extra points for the player.

Strategy, skill and determination. It takes all three to win at Baseball! Choose a starting pitcher from your bullpen (including Nintendo's own Mario), then start hurling fastballs past the batter. If he connects, your outfield backs up to snag the fly. Three outs and your team is up. Take a strike to feel out the pitcher. Then drive a long one for a home run!

This is the Japanese version of Bases Loaded, released in 1990

Runners are at the corners with one out. The tying run dances off of third, daring you to pick him off. It all comes down to this-you versus the Pro team's cleanup hitter. But you've got one more trick up your sleeve. You make the wave to the bullpen and call in Myer, your team's ace reliever. The batter adjusts his stance as Myer looks in. It's the best versus the best in a classic late inning confrontation- just an example of the excitement awaiting you in Baseball Kids

You will have to run and jump through a series of levels while taking out the Joker's henchmen along the way. Like any good superhero, you can dispatch the enemies with your batarang. The Joker has returned and still wants to destroy Gotham. Once again it's up to Batman to stop him. You take control of the Dark Knight as he tries to fight his way through seven levels of intense action that move from Gotham City to a remote island. Fortunately, the caped crusader has a number of weapons, including a crossbow and batarangs, which will help him get past the bad guys. Batman can also avoid fights by using his grappling hook, hanging on to structures, or jumping. Only Batman can stop the Joker and keep Gotham safe in BATMAN: Return of the Joker.

Evil is afoot in Gotham City, but no one knows where it's coming from. The only thing everyone knows is that Batman will be there to stop it when it does strike. You take the role of the caped crusader as you fight your way through levels filled with enemies. Initially, your only means of fighting will be with your fists. But once you pick up a batarang, you can use it for ranged attacks. You will also have to use Batman's cable gun and jumping abilities to explore every area in the game. Since there are two difficulty levels, you'll never feel overwhelmed. Save Gotham City from its plague of evil in BATMAN: The Animated Series.

Battle Bull ppp is an action video game for the original Game Boy; released in 1990 in Japan and 1991 in North America. Using a third-person perspective and a top-down view.

The player controls a driver of an excavation vehicle as he competes in a 48-level tournament of drilling things.

Players have to kill rival drivers only by pushing huge stones at them. Most of the other stones are a permanent part of the underground cavern; while others can be used to eliminate the opponents. Money is earned after each level for the purpose of upgrading the player's vehicle. Players can improve their engines, purchase extra lives, shovels that can dig better, and weapons to improve the odds on the playing field. A kill ratio is required to be met in order to reach the next stage. Otherwise, the player remains in the current level.

After finishing all 48 levels, the game proclaims that the "battle is over" and that the player becomes "the new champion." The final scene in the game is where the player looks over the sunset with his girlfriend along with the closing credits.

Battle of Kingdom is a 1991 Game Boy video game that was jointly created by the Meldac, Live Planning, and the Lenar companies. It was only released for a Japanese market.

The object is to lead a kingdom through various battles using the format of a traditional board game. In order to advance to the next battle, players must destroy at least 92% of the monsters on the battlefield. Each stage represents a battle in a high fantasy campaign to save the world from an unknown evil force (that resides in a skull castle). As players progresses to the right side of the screen killing monsters from the enemy forces, the probability of winning the entire battle shows up in percentage. Players are unable to automatically attack the opponent if the number of points on the attack power meter becomes depleted. Attacking manually does not deduct attack points from the player's statistics, however.

Monsters like slimes can face off against each other for control of the playing field in the lower levels of the game while players are allowed in the upper levels of the game to summon the King's loyal army of archers, knights, horsemen and magicians. All these creatures must be bought in card form before being allowed to join the battlefield. Even the leader of each respective kingdom is expected to fight. The player's creatures can either fight, run away from battle, or cast a magic spell. All creatures have hit points, attack points, and special points.

While the story itself is in Japanese, most of the information that is important to the game uses ASCII letters that are familiar to people who are fluent in the English language. Players can acquire gold mines to increase wealth and construct buildings like stock rooms and bridges while not battling. The ending of the game shows the warriors in triumph because the evil force inside the skull castle surrendered.

The Battle of Olympus is a side-scrolling, action-adventure game for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed by Infinity. It was published on March 28 1988 by Imagineer in Japan for the Famicom and was titled Oryunposu no Tatakai: Ai no Densetsu.

Similar in style to Zelda II: The Adventures of Link for the NES, The Battle of Olympus takes place in an ancient Greece which is being terrorized by Hades, the dark ruler of the underworld.

Orpheus had his girlfriend Helene kidnapped by Hades who is holding her for his personal pleasure. A top-down map of Greece shows various dungeons and ancient Greek city-states for the player to visit on his journey. Swords, shields, and crystals help to provide offensive power and defensive strength for the player. Three fragments of love are there to remind Orpheus of his girlfriend Helene. Hades rules his dominion in Tartarus; where his strongest minions live alongside him. Enemies that players have to fight include several breeds of cyclopes, minotaurs, and pegasuses.

Battle City, also known as Tank 1990 or Tank in some pirate multicarts releases is a multi-directional shooter video game for the Nintendo Family Computer produced and published in 1985 by Namco. The game was later released for the Game Boy (1991)

Battle City contains 35 different stages that are 13 units wide by 13 units high. Each map contains different types of terrain and obstacles. Examples include brick walls that can be destroyed by having either the player's Tank or an enemy Tank shoot at them, steel walls that can be destroyed by the player if he has collected three or more power-up stars, bushes that hide Tanks under them, ice fields that make it difficult to control Tank and pools of water which cannot be crossed by Tanks. There are four progressively harder types of enemy Tanks. The game becomes more challenging in later levels, as enemy Tanks may act as decoys to lure players away from their base so that another Tank can destroy it. In addition, flashing Tanks could be destroyed for power-ups. There are several types of power-ups: Tank symbol gives an extra life, star improves player's Tank (having one star make shots faster, having two stars allow two simultaneous shots, having three stars allow the player to destroy steel), bomb destroys all visible enemy Tanks, clock freezes all enemy Tanks for a period of time, shovel adds steel walls around the base for a period of time and shield makes player's Tank invulnerable to attack for a period of time.

The Game Boy version is more challenging, as the screen is too small to display the whole map and only enough to display one part of it. Players often would have to scroll to different parts of the map to view them and everything in them. As a result, defending the base is even more difficult, while the player is occupied with enemies on one part of the map, other enemies could sneak past the player and right to the base, destroying it without fear of retaliation and by complete surprise. A radar is in the Game Boy version, but not in the NES version.

Battleship is a video game based on the board game of the same name.

The object is to sink the opponent's entire fleet without him sinking the player's fleet first. In this updated version, both the player and the computer get extra firepower from military aircraft and support weapons. There are even scenarios that start a player off in a pre-played game that he must resume (and overcome a bleak scenario). This video game was mentioned in an old issue of Nintendo Power.

Battletoads is an action game originally released by Rare in 1991 for the Game Boy handheld game console from Nintendo. Despite having the same box art and title as the NES release, Battletoads for Game Boy is a completely different game with other levels. It was exclusively released for the Game Boy and was never ported to any other systems.

Essentially the player takes on nearly exactly the same type of side scrolling action found in the NES game, with similar but simplified graphics and enemies. It is only a single player game and starts out in a level similar to the NES game as well. As in the case of the original Battletoads, the Game Boy game is also notoriously difficult to beat, requiring fast reflexes, memorization of obstacles, and patience

However, there are many of differences in the levels and range in difficulty when encountering enemies or obstacles. The same "over-the-top" finishing combos can also be found in the Game Boy release.
