Story: 19XX: The War Against Destiny is the 4th of a series of World War II vertical shooters made by Capcom. The story takes place before a fictional war (Hence, the 19XX) as a lone pilot tries to defeat an entire army/evil organization from starting another World War, which soon escalates to a nuclear apocalypse.
Gameplay: The player selects one of three different planes, each with different ratings in speed, power, and the strength of their homing attack. When flying through the levels, three primary weapons can be used by picking up their respective items, to fire either spreading Vulcan bullets, straight-firing lasers, or multi-directional missiles. By holding the Fire button, the player can charge up to fire a special missile. If this missile hits a large enemy, the player will lock on to that enemy, and can fire fast homing projectiles to damage it further. There is also a supply of smart bombs which can be used to clear away the majority of enemies and their projectiles from the screen. However, smart bombs can also be charged up, and each level of charge yields a different effect. Of course, if the player is shot down while charging up a bomb, it will have no effect.

The view is from a left-right perspective and the national flags of several European countries are used in the game. In the game mode "You're a Hero," the player must make miracle plays that either win and/or change the game. The kick-off is doing using 3D graphics with the camera showing the spectators in the grandstand.

This surfer dude-type Frankenstein Monster named Franky, and his girlfriend Bitsy, planned to vacation in New York City when Bitsy discovers she didn't have a passport. Unfazed by this setback, Franky dismantles Bitsy and ships her via the Transylvanian post office. Unfortunately, the package gets lost and ends up in 20 locations around the globe. Franky's job? Hunt down the missing packages so he can travel back to Transylvania and reassemble Bitsy.
Franky is this rather diminutive undead dude with a large, square head. His skin is green; he wears shades, purple shorts, an orange T-shirt, and dark shades. Equipped with smart bombs, his fighting maneuvers include left, right, overhead kicks, and stun punches. As he runs, jumps, climbs, and fights his way through castles, buildings, dungeons, caves, etc., gathering up the pieces of his best girl, he is attacked by kids on pogo sticks, disembodied heads, undead chefs, grim reapers, ghosts, giant fire-breathing frogs, and many other freaky enemies. Occasionally, Frankie must control a crane, maneuver platforms, ride a raft, and jump on a springboard to reach inaccessible items. Help comes in the form of extra lives, units of energy, smart bombs, shields, and super jumps as Franky searches for the four parcels in each of the twenty locations. After gathering all four, he needs to find the exit before time runs out.

The 3rd game in this excellent series adheres to the solid shoot-em-up template set down by its predecessors. The player takes on the role of a Jet Fighter aircraft pilot whose mission is to combat world terrorism. The object of the game is to fly from country to country and destroy all opposition around the world, before flying into outer space to combat the menace responsible for the terrorism. Each pilot has his own storyline that ties in with the game.
One enemy shot destroys the player's plane and releases a special power-up that the plane may have been carrying. If the player's final ship is destroyed, all power-ups and extra bombs are released and can be collected if the player chooses the 'continue' option, or if a second player is still active. However, on the final mission in Outer Space, the player is forced to start again at the beginning of the space mission, unless 2 players are active.

It is the year 2015. A space faring terrorist group known as Scarlet has become strong enough to seal the space lanes around Earth. A sudden, desperate attack planned in secret wounds Scarlet's leader Epsilon, causing a power struggle among the terrorists and giving humanity time to regroup and fight back. Two old foes among the genetically-engineered terrorists now vie for control of the organization, the outcome of which could determine the fate of mankind.
From the makers of the legendary Gunstar Heroes, this platform shoot 'em up is reminiscent of Contra but with more options. Loud graphics and louder audio, looks cool and plays pretty decently.

During the Roman occupation of France, a lone Gaul warrior arose from among his fellows to do battle with his largely incompetent foes. Meet Asterix, the undersized hero of the first French Resistance. Based on the hit European comic series.
Excellent concept, excellent games. I must admit to a certain bias, as I am a fan of the original comic, but even non-fans have found the games to be entertaining. Highly recommended.

Rugby is the British field game from which American football is derived. The main differences are in the rules, field layout, and the absence of pads worn by the players. Oh yeah, no forward pass and dogpiling (aka "the scrum") is perfectly legal.
If you're tired of all those American football sims and want to try something different, this is an excellent alternative. Hey, it's an EA Sports release - need I say more?

Simulating Japanese survival war games, players must survive an assault from the bad guys. The closest equivalent that North American culture has to this game is paintball. Each character is assigned a Japanese code name and a main weapon by the player himself. Players can only move up to a certain amount of squares per turn and can only be hit a certain number of times before being killed. The game itself is divided into 24 different missions. Victory conditions vary from mission to mission, and may be anything from "kill the leader" to "free the prisoner and return to the escape point."
Unlike a medieval strategy game, rushing at an opponent with nothing but a knife is the way to get killed. Medium and long-range weapons are the speciality of the game. Battles can take place anywhere from desert islands to office buildings or shopping malls. All the opponents are seen wearing helmets that resemble those of legendary Star Wars villain Darth Vader. ~courtesy of Wikipedia

Pick one of several colorful characters and participate in the annual BASS Masters fishing tournament.
BASS Masters Classic - Pro Edition has better graphics and gameplay, and features cameos by several well-known professional anglers.
Neat useridea, but for me the game ended up being more of a commercial for various kinds of fishing gear. Why not just grab a pole and hit the lake? It's far easier and a lot more satisfying, too.

Once again, deadly peril threatens Gotham City. Three of of the city's top criminals (The Joker, Two-Face, and the Mad Hatter) have escaped from Arkham Asylum and are teaming together to bring the city under their iron control. The Dynamic Duo must leap into the breach and save the people from this terrible threat. An original game inspired by the hit Warner animated series. Based on the original characters created by Bob Kane for DC Comics.
At long last! A game worthy of the title it bears! A 3D action platformer with great graphics and animation culled directly from the TV show. This is the ONLY Batman game for the Genesis that you will ever need.

Based on the movie of the same name, Batman Forever puts you in the role of either Batman or Robin. Whether you decide to play as the Caped Crusader or the Boy Wonder, your job is to save Gotham City from the clutches of The Riddler and Two-Face (and the latter's sidekicks, Sugar and Spice).
Throughout the game's eight levels of play, you must battle the aforementioned villains and their henchmen (such as killer clowns) using a variety of punch and kick moves and special bat gadgets, such as Batarangs, smoke pellets, tranquilizer darts, and grappling hooks. Some of the levels contain puzzles, such as hidden switches to pull and pieces of gadget blueprints to find.
The normal game mode of Batman Forever roughly follows the plot of the film, taking place in such locations as the Second Bank of Gotham City, the circus, and an abandoned subway station. Your ultimate goal, in addition to saving your fair city, is to rescue the beautiful Dr. Chase Meridian from The Riddler. She is being held at Claw Island, The Riddler's nightmarish factory. Throughout the various levels you can find helpful items (such as Riddler boxes and Two-Face coins) for gaining lives, energy, time, and tips.
A special training mode of play lets you, or you and a friend, hone your combat skills by pitting you (as hero or villain) against Batcomputer-generated characters in one-on-one (or two-on-two) fights.

The player plays as either Batman or Robin. There is also a fighting game mode called "training mode" where the player can play as Batman, Robin, or any of the enemies found throughout the game against either a computer-controlled opponent, against a second player, or cooperatively against two computer opponents.
The controls are largely based on move lists and key sequences. Some gadget moves involve moving away from the enemy right before pressing a punch or kick button, which creates problems since the game only keeps the players facing enemies if they're close enough to each other.
