The player ships fly through a total of seven stages fighting many enemies and multiple end-level bosses. Each player ship had a semi-automatic Normal shot and Bomb Stock, appearing as a large Phoenix. Players has a total of four different weapon pick-up items to choose from. Weapon 1 is the standard Vulcan weapon, Weapon 2 is a Rapid-Fire shot, Weapon 3 is an area-effect weapon that fires in five directions, two behind the ship and Weapon 4 is a Rocket weapon. Collecting four of the same weapon pick-up allows the selected weapon to flare-out. The player ship only had one hit though and there were no Extend Bonuses.

The player controls a fighter jet and shoot enemies in the air and on the ground, collects power-ups, and defeat bosses to advance levels. The player must collect four power ups to upgrade their weapon. There are four weapon types:

"L"(blue)- Shining Laser, a narrow but exceptionally powerful beam of blue energy.
"S"(green)- Hunter Seeker, a support drone that fires twin bolts of green energy in three directions. The first direction is always straight forward, while the other two directions are changed by the player's motion, rotating while staying 180 degrees apart. If the fire button is kept pressed down, the guns will not rotate while moving.
"M"(yellow)- Tracing Missile, releasing periodic swarms of homing missiles alongside rapid bursts of forward dumbfire missiles.
"F"(red)- Gatling Fire, a spread-out vulcan bullet shot.

Four levels of power-ups are available for each weapon, however each level requires four power up tokens be collected. There are also two special "bomb" weapons available for collection - green Energy Spark for a screen-covering swarm of lower-power bombs and blue Thunder Drive for a narrower and more focused attack. The Energy Spark clears all bullets from the screen, while the Thunder Drive only clears bullets that actually touch the blast. This blast starts momentarily atop the player, but quickly moves forward a short distance and stays stationary for a few seconds before dissipating.

You're on your own now. With this sentence the first mission is totally clear: shoot and find your way through several stages. Every level has a clear mission and you won't be bothered with complicated quests or specials. Just run, shoot and handle some switches. That's all. The visual appearance of the game is quite similar to Shadowrun and the soundtrack is also. A little hint: to save ammo, try to hit the enemy with your knife. It's far quicker and you'll need the ammo later on.

Bahamut Lagoon combines RPG mechanics with squad-based combat. Characters have HP, MP (SP for fighter characters), EXP, equipment, stats and class-specific, SP-draining special elemental abilities very much like traditional console RPGs. The player can explore his surroundings, talk to people and visit shops when not in battle, though to a limited degree as there is no world map and no way to leave the current area.

The game's core is its turn-based battles fought on a 2d grid. Characters are assembled into parties of four and the player allowed a maximum of six parties, which are usually well outnumbered. The two opposing sides act in alternating turns so that each party can move once and/or attack once a turn. Attacks are divided into distant and close-up combat. In the former, a party uses a special ability (e.g. casting fireballs, throwing lightning, healing allies) of one of its user at a distance. The range and possible area of effect damage vary per ability. If the attacking party has two or more characters with the same ability, they join in the action to multiply its effectiveness. Distant combat results in less money and generally less damage, but the target cannot retaliate. Distant attacks can also affect the field; fire and ice ignite or extinguish forests and melt or freeze ice, etc. Close-up, each unit in two adjacent opposing parties can act once. Very much like Final Fantasy SNES combat, they can attack an enemy, use an item or a special ability (though these can't be combined and most only affect one target instead of all) or defend.

Dragons are the player's ace in the hole. They have their own stats and gain experience like normal characters do. In battle, each party has a dragon attached to it and draws a large portion of its strength from that of its dragon: if a party's dragon is slain, the party will lose the ability to use special attacks and class-specific abilities for the remainder of the map. The beast acts as a very powerful autonomous unit that moves after its party does and it cannot be controlled beyond very simple commands, e.g. "Come!" Out of battle, dragons will eat anything and raising them by feeding them items is an important part of the game. Feeding can improve their stats as well as affect their behavior on the field, and the dragons develop into new forms as they grow.

The player can change the characters in each of the parties, their formation as well as what dragon represents them at will.

This is an "Arkanoid"-type game with a few twists. Instead of controlling a paddle, you control the ball itself by altering its momentum using the joystick. Various blocks (squares, triangles, and special blocks containing powerups) advance down from the top of the screen. The player dies when the ball goes down through a hole in the bottom of the screen, or if the blocks reach the bottom of the screen.

An excellent vertically shoot'em up.

Battle Garegga is considered as the first 'Danmaku' shooting game. Danmaku is a Japanese term for 'barrage', as in a barrage of bullets.

The main source of inspiration for this game has been the game "Gun Frontier" (1990, Taito). The main gun and bomb power-up systems are almost useridentical in mechanics, many vehicles have the same attacking patterns, you can destroy scenery and there are flamingos flying away at stage 2 of both games :). Another interesting thing : "Batsugun" also was a source of inspiration for this game, as the last Toaplan game was one of the first SHMUPS in which bombing in key spots (4th boss) could grant a lot of points.

Unreleased game.

The game was going to be one of the games, which should have saved the system with a relaunch, but it was delayed again and again until it was canceled because of the lack of success of the Virtual Boy. At this time, the game already was completely finished.

You are Chalvo, the bouncing robot, traveling through space in full 3d-D motion in pursuit of alien invaders that threaten the peaceful inhabitants of Earth.

The player controls Casper, followed by Kat Harvey whom he has to protect from any danger. Being a ghost, Casper can pass through walls and other obstacles, but he can't go away from Kat too much, or else Carrigan's ghost will abduct her. The game follows loosely the plot of the movie. This game uses a revised Absolute A Boy and His Blob engine. Picking up special objects allows Casper to morph into these objects to clear rooms of enemies, and to protect Kat from certain hazards. Mirrors placed throughout the game allows Casper and Kat travel to other parts of mansion, and outside electrical lines allow Casper to pick up the last of the toys, when he picks up the electric bolt morph.

The gameplay is similar to Tetris in which the player has to direct blocks of stone, mummy and/or treasure to create closures which eliminates the treasure and adds to the player's score. Also if a full line of stone blocks, treasure blocks or mummy blocks is formed they will disappear in a similar fashion to Tetris and also add to the player's score.

The game's name comes from its mascot which is a super deformed version of queen Cleopatra. Additionally, the game utilizes an Egyptian theme.
