Action Man: Search for Base X is an action video game developed by Natsume and published by THQ.

The game's plot centers around the protagonist Alex "Action" Mann, and his mission to stop the evil Dr. X from releasing a weapon of mass destruction. Action Man must find Dr. X's base by playing through levels in various locales. The player is given a variety of suits for Action Man to wear in different situations, including a parka, a wet suit, and a space suit. Each level can be completed multiple times in order to achieve different goals; the correct suit is not required on the first completion of a level, but later attempts require specific suits to bypass obstacles. By wearing different suits, alternate paths in levels can be discovered.

The gameplay is similar to other 16-bit era action video games. The game contains fifteen missions for the player to complete spread through six main areas. The player is allowed to choose two weapons to bring into battle with them, such as a crossbow and a pistol. The game allows the player to jump, run, swim, and climb through various areas of the game, allowing for a more varied experience.

A bouncing cutey-pie of a hero who is controlled by joystick as he leaps with dizzying speed across parallel rows of panels. The object is to hit each panel in sequence, changing their color and then finishing them off, while avoiding the nasty bouncing beastie (The Bubble Eater) or the jumping stick (The Pin), which move like greased lighting across the field. After one has mastered the original game, there are fascinating variations on the original theme. In one game, rows light up one at a time and only illuminated panels can be jumped upon.

Unreleased game.

The game was going to be one of the games, which should have saved the system with a relaunch, but it was delayed again and again until it was canceled because of the lack of success of the Virtual Boy. At this time, the game already was completely finished.

You are Chalvo, the bouncing robot, traveling through space in full 3d-D motion in pursuit of alien invaders that threaten the peaceful inhabitants of Earth.

One of the few VB games to fully use its 3D abilities.

Catrap (known as Pitman in Japan) is a puzzle-platform video game released by Asmik for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1990

Catrap is a puzzle game. The player manoeuvres the player, an anthropomorphic cat, to navigate a room while clearing obstacles and kicking monsters and ghosts off the screen. Once the player has knocked all of the enemies off the screen, he advances to the next level. Advancement can prove difficult for the player as increasingly intricate obstacles are presented to overcome all of the monsters and ghosts. Arguably, the easiest route to solve the problem is through trial and error. A player may try one combination of manoeuvres by moving the obstacle in one direction, then he may find himself trapped. The player can hit the 'A'-button to reverse his movements and try again in a different way until he finds the solution that enables him to access all of the baddies to knock them off the screen. Trial and error seems to make up a large portion of the game. Players can also create their own mazes.

Chack'n, the hero, must traverse 14 levels to find and marry his girlfriend.

The goal in each level is to get to the top floor. Chack'n destroys the bricks blocking his path by destroying the cages holding hearts that are scattered around the level. Once all the hearts have been freed, the path is opened and Chack'n must simply climb to the top to complete the level. Destroying monsters is completely optional. They start as eggs hanging around the levels. Chack'n is further constrained by a time limit: The ghost pushing the green object at the top of the screen represents a time limit. If the ghost reaches the right edge of the screen, Chack'n will lose a life. You can tell when this is about to happen, as two other ghost figures come to help push the green thing as the last few seconds tick off.

Chalvo 55 is a puzzle video game released in 1997 by Japan System Supply. It features the same main character as the cancelled Virtual Boy game Bound High.

Players control a robot named Chalvo; who can change forms into a ball. Five crystals are needed in order to reach the boss of each level. Enemies and spikes must be avoided or defeated at all times.

Often, the boss of the level operates a trap through a control panel and players must devise a workaround in order to defeat him. One of the glitches in the game is that the player can operate the trap (sometimes on himself) after the boss is defeated simply by activating the control panel. Eight stages are present in the game; with a secret password responsible for hiding a secret ninth level.

Players can view an area map in addition to a larger world map that states their position within the entire game. Movable hard blocks can be relocated in order to reveal hidden passageways; often with a crystal nearby.
