A wealthy industrialist, Mr. Marshall Robner, locked himself in the upstairs library of his New England colonial estate one night and committed suicide by taking a lethal overdose of anti-depressants. Or did he?

You are the Chief of Detectives. You've been asked by Robner's attorney to make a thorough investigation of the case, simply to "quash the suspicions which are inevitable" when a moneyed man dies a sudden and unnatural death. The Medical Examiner found nothing unusual, and interviews with family user and family associates are consistent with the useridea that Robner committed suicide. Everything fits neatly -- maybe too neatly. You smell foul play, and you have 12 hours to crack the case. If you arrest someone, you'd better have the three traditional ingredients to an ironclad case for the prosecution: the accused must have had a motive, a method, and ample opportunity to commit the crime. There are many possible endings to this case, and the one you reach is determined by your actions and by the deductions you draw from the evidence you gather. But one ending fits the facts better than any other, and you will know it when you reach it.

Deja Vu was the first game ever made by ICOM, the makers of such famous adventure games as Shadowgate and Uninvited. It featured mouse support, a multi-window interface, and fully interactive CGA graphics at a time when text-based interactive fiction was the norm.

In Deja Vu your character wakes up in a toilet stall of a sleazy pub with no memory of who you are or what you're doing there. To make matters worse, you soon stumble upon a very dead corpse upstairs with three bullets buried in him. Sure enough, you find there's a gun in your pocket with three bullets missing. From there you have to figure out what happened and who you are before whatever is happening to your brain turns you into a mindless vegatable. To make matters worse the cops would very much like to have a word with you about that stiff.

In 1991 a remake of this game was made for Windows 3.x, featuring improved graphics etc.

From deep within Mordroc's Castle, a foul stench rose up to mix with the cold, damp midnight air; the telltale sign of the evil wizard's pet fire-breathing dragon, Singe; the reeking breath of the beast that guarded the Princess Daphne in the dark and deadly caves far below the surface. Dirk the Daring walked steadily toward the castle gate. He felt no fear. Fear was for cowards, not the most courageous knight in the land. No other would dare enter this perilous castle where Mordroc had imprisoned the helpless princess. But then, no other could match Dirk's unrelenting love for the beautiful Princess Daphne. There was no other possible course of action. Now was the time for heroes. Now was the time to enter the Dragon's Lair.

Dragon's Lair is a laserdisc video game published by Cinematronics in 1983. It was ported to the Game boy in 1991.

Dirk the Daring is a knight attempting to rescue Princess Daphne from the evil dragon Singe who has locked the princess in the foul wizard Mordroc's castle.

The game displays animated cutscenes, and the player executes an action by selecting a direction or pressing the sword button with correct timing in order to clear each quick time event (QTE). The comedy aspects of the game stemmed not only from the bizarre-looking creatures and humorous death scenes, but also the fact that while Dirk was a skilled knight, he was somewhat clumsy in his efforts, as well as being a reluctant hero, prone to shrieking and reacting in horror to the various dangers he encounters.

Instead of controlling the character's actions directly, players control his reflexes, with different full motion video (FMV) segments playing for correct or incorrect choices.

ECCO Jr. is essentially ECCO 'Lite', a watered down version made for the kiddies.

You now have a choice of three characters to play, ECCO the dolphin , a killer whale and a porpoise. The graphics aren't as crisp as the other two ECCO games and the game seems to have lost some of it's character. The kiddies should enjoy it if ECCO 1 or 2 are a bit too tough for them but adults will find it way too easy, I finished the game in under an hour when I played it.

The gameplay is essentially side-scrolling, with horizontal, diagonal and vertical movement. Attacking enemies is accomplished by making Ecco ram into them at high speeds. Swimming could be made progressively faster by tapping a certain button, and the speed could be maintained by holding it down. Players can perform a purely aesthetic spin in the air when jumping out of the water. Two features of the game played on actual dolphin habits; one button causes Ecco to sing, allowing him to speak with other cetaceans and interact with certain objects. The same button is used for echolocation; holding it down would cause the song to return, generating a map of the area. Additionally, Ecco, being a mammal, has to surface periodically for air, or else find an air vent. If the "air meter" ran out, Ecco would lose health rapidly-this represented drowning. His health was measured by a separate meter; it was depleted by enemies or when his air meter had run out, and it is recharged by eating fish, "singing" to clams, or, later in the game, singing to special statues or crystals called "Glyphs". Ecco's song could be optionally "upgraded" at two points in the game; one upgrade allowed Ecco's song to be used in combination with a charge as a long-range weapon, and the other temporarily disoriented sharks and made minor enemies freeze temporarily. Touching any enemy by any means other than an attack causes Ecco to sustain damage. The enemies range from seahorses to giant octopodes.

Ecco is a dolphin. A dolphin's life consists of swimming around all day, eating and playing. And that's what Ecco does. But one day something happens, and Ecco finds all his friends missing. The once friendly seas have become lonely and oppressive. It's up to Ecco to find out what happened.

Ecco the Dolphin is a 2D underwater adventure game. Players control Ecco and can guide him as he swims horizontally or vertically through the water. He can also jump above the ocean surface and use his sonar to talk to other dolphins or to map his environment. But because Ecco is a dolphin and not a fish, he needs to go back to the ocean surface periodically for air.

Ecco's supply of air is indicated by the blue dots on the upper left of the screen. If the blue dots all fade away, Ecco is out of air and dies. He can also take damage from the unfriendly creatures in the sea. The health level is indicated by the red dots on the screen. Should all these dots fade away, Ecco will be critically wounded and die. Before that happens, Ecco can have a clam heal him by singing to it.

Ecco must journey through the ocean completing the requirements in each level before moving on. He can talk to the other dolphins for clues as to what he must do. By holding down the sonar button, players can see a map of their immediate vicinity with creatures and items marked in different colors.

ECCO's pod is mysteriously swept into the sky leaving him all alone. The evil Vortex is harvesting the oceans of all life for food. Help ECCO on his quest to find his pod and save the earth.

The ECCO games are a little hard to pigeon hole, the G3 calls them Platformers but I think Action Adventure would probably be more accurate. The graphics and sound are excellent in this game. You must use ECCO's abilities to navigate around the maze like levels and their is a heavy slant towards puzzles so you'll need your thinking caps on for this game. ECCO inherits new abilities as the game progresses to aid in your quest, the most useful one is when gain the ability to breathe underwater which means that you don't have to find air pockets every couple of minutes. It can get quite tough later on in the game but it's well worth pressing on as this is one of SEGA's crowning achievements.

The Tides of Time was the direct sequel to the original Ecco, . The controls for the first game were kept, and The Tides of Time maintained the same level of difficulty as its predecessor. New puzzles were added, such as following another dolphin around and a 'scavenger hunt' of sorts later in the game. One of the additions was the Metaspheres, which could transform Ecco into different animals. The transformations were level-specific, and included a seagull, a jellyfish, a shark, a school of fish, and at one point a Vortex drone. 5 unique pseudo-3D levels were also added to the game. The health meter, the air meter, and the Glyphs returned in The Tides of Time. Both the "charge song" and the "confusion song" upgrades returned from Ecco the Dolphin and were usable from the start of the game.
