Alice in Wonderland follows the plot of the 1951 animated Disney film of the same name. The game begins with the player as Alice following the White Rabbit down its hole. The plot is used to change the level design from stage to stage, and gives the player a more varied experience through gameplay.

The game changes the level design based on different stages from the film. Alice changes sizes throughout the game, which makes the platform gameplay feel different throughout the game. Levels often deviate from the main platform areas and include other types of sections: one example is where Alice is placed in her miniature form into a bottle and must navigate rapids.

A simple action/platformer from Face, gameplay is what one would largely expect from a platformer of this era. Alice can move left or right via the D-pad; she can also jump. She has several means of offense. As is common in many platformers, she can jump on top of most enemies to squish them. In addition, she can shout " イヤ " (iya/no) at enemies; this can be charged up for up to three levels of power, resulting in a bigger "iya". Alice can get out of breath if you shout too much, though.

Story: Alice is a simple country girl who loves fairy stories. One night while she was sleeping, she had a very strange dream. A white rabbit appeared, and begged for Alice's help; the dream world has been conquered by Mammon, and only Alice can restore peace and save the inhabitants of dream world! How can she refuse?

Ever since you left that last planet, you've been bothered by eerie sounds coming from somewhere in the hull of Nostromo, your giant transport cruiser. After setting the ship's controls on autopilot, you descend to have a look. Yow! Every hallway in the entire maze-like hull has been lined with the grotesque eggs of some gruesome space creature. Quickly you sprint down the corridor crushing the eggs as you go. Then you see it! A hideous being with jaws like a beartrap. You run away from this brutal beast, not wishing to end up as an intergalactic snack. You turn a corner and stare unbelievingly. Another Alien is just ahead. Don't bother calling for help. Remember, in space, no one can hear you scream!

Join Lt. Ellen Ripley as she explores the Fiorina 161 prison colony in this six-stage action game with multiple level objectives. You'll have three weapons at your disposal in your effort to rid the colony of aliens: a pulse rifle, a flame-thrower, and a grenade launcher.

A motion tracker will help warn you of impending doom as you make your way through the maze-like air shafts and gloomy cell blocks. Access various computer terminals to receive level blueprints and select your assignments, which range from sealing off doors to rescuing cocooned prisoners. A password system allows you to continue your adventure until the final showdown with the Alien Queen herself.

Rather than sticking with the movie storyline and making more of an interactive story, Acclaim and LJN decided to make an action/adventure title instead, and good thing they did. It has a few flaws, but they can be overlooked easily enough by the average gamer. The graphics are somewhat above average for the original gameboy. A3 did NOT stick to the movie, but it at least does an average job of explaining why there are numerous aliens to deal with. Controls are VERY good, which is not very often in my experiences with original game boy games. Very responsive, with no lag between actions.

The proper game to the movie. Shoot and climb your way through a space station. As you progress with the game, you'll have to rescue prisoners which are imprisoned by the famous aliens. It's a valuable plattformer with a high difficulty rating. Another markable thing is the soundtrack, which is totally unusual for the alien series. It isn't the ambient styled chiptune, that you're used to, when playing titles of this series. Instead it is a nice done and quite fast action soundtrack.

Alien 3 is loosely based on the movie of the same name. Players take on the role of Ripley and must work their way through a series of expansive and multi-layered levels freeing humans that the Aliens have captured. There is a time limit on each level; if players cannot find and free all the humans before the limit ends, the game is over. Since humans can be trapped in a variety of places on each level, players must thoroughly explore the stages in order to advance.

Players can acquire and use several different types of weapons after finding their ammunition pick-up. Ripley can carry multiple weapons at the same time, but each weapon has a limited ammunition supply. Ripley also has a health gauge that decreases as the Aliens attack or after landing from a long fall. If Ripley's health gauge reaches zero, players lose a life. Finding and collecting the appropriate power-up can replenish the life gauge.

In addition to jumping and shooting, players can use lifts, open doors, climb ladders and even crawl through tunnels in the levels. Players can shoot while crawling, but cannot shoot while jumping. It is possible to shoot vertically or even diagonally while standing, however. Aliens are much faster than Ripley and generally cannot be avoided, so they must be shot. Each creature takes several shots from the standard gun to dispatch, but unlike their movie cousins, do not leave an acid pool when killed.

As with the Mega Drive and Game Gear versions, this is brilliant. Guide Ripley through the treacherous space-ship in a stunning platform adventure. Loads to do and powerups galore make it a winner.

Something has gone terribly wrong on the Suliaco's return trip back to Earth. Flight Officer Ellen Ripley finds herself alone on a prison planet, the sole survivor of her ship's unexpected destruction. Unknown to her and the inmates, she has brought an unwelcome visitor with her - an old and deadly acquaitence that could mean death for them all. Loosely based on the live-action sci-fi film starring Sigourney Weaver.

I usually don't like movie translation games, but this one's quite good. Good graphics and you get to be Ripley too.

The basic theme of the game is "capture the flag (while protecting your own)". You can assemble offensive and defensive aids by picking up 'pieces' strewn about your half of the playfield. The pieces are color-coded, randomly created and distributed, and different objects require different numbers of pieces to assemble. Once you start assembling an object, you must finish assembling it (pick up enough pieces for it) and place it... or 'flush' the pieces you've picked up so far. Flush is mostly used for when you accidentally picked up the wrong color piece... or when you don't have the required pieces to assemble the rest of the object. A status bar shows what object is under construction, and how many more pieces are needed. Only one object can be assembled at a time. Once it is assembled, you must carry it to where you want to place or launch it and press the 'place' button.

There is a delay at the beginning of each round before the flags appear, and then a further delay before the midfield barrier comes down. Use this time to start assembling an offense or defense or both (this keeps the opponent from just starting each round by making a suicide dash for your flag). When the flags do appear, their placement is random, but within a small distance from the back wall of your half of the arena.

A round ends when an opposing flag is captured by a player, or when a player is destroyed by one of his opponent's offensive or defensive objects. There are all sorts of nuances to how the objects behave, how they score, etc.

Alien Crush features a science fiction theme reminiscent of the film Alien. Essentially, the player is "fighting" against the aliens with their pinball skills.

The playfield of Alien Crush consists of two main screens arranged vertically, with a pair of flippers at the bottom of each. The play stops momentarily as the ball shifts from one screen to the next. There are also several hidden/bonus rooms. These hidden rooms mainly involve destroying all the aliens (or several waves of aliens) for bonus points.

The player is given the choice of a fast or slow ball speed and two different music tracks.

It is the year 2015. A space faring terrorist group known as Scarlet has become strong enough to seal the space lanes around Earth. A sudden, desperate attack planned in secret wounds Scarlet's leader Epsilon, causing a power struggle among the terrorists and giving humanity time to regroup and fight back. Two old foes among the genetically-engineered terrorists now vie for control of the organization, the outcome of which could determine the fate of mankind.

From the makers of the legendary Gunstar Heroes, this platform shoot 'em up is reminiscent of Contra but with more options. Loud graphics and louder audio, looks cool and plays pretty decently.

Story:
A homicidal alien race is invading Earth, and the only thing that stands between them and world domination are a special forces team known as the "Alien Busters."

Gameplay:
Alien Storm is a side-scrolling beat 'em up. The game resembles Golden Axe, with a similar artistic style, three playable characters (a man, a woman, and a novelty character) and pick-up or power-up special attacks. All of the Busters are playable from the beginning of the game. There are 6 missions to complete with several stages, and each mission has the player blasting aliens, from the streets to the mother ship, where the mother of all aliens can be found. This task becomes increasingly difficult with each new mission, and the aliens are capable of hiding inside objects such as plants, postboxes, trashcans, drums, and other items. Each mission has an objective such as rescuing people or destroying a UFO.

Shapeshifting alien scum take over your city. Fry the slimy horrors and smash their bid for global conquest. Blast into action with fire blazers, electric whips and more!

The aliens are invading Earth, and it's up to the "Alien Busters" to wipe them out and destroy their creator. The Busters consist of Karla, Gordon, and Scooter. Each one of them have their own weapons and special attacks.
When you start the game, you can select any one of these characters to play as. There are six missions to complete (eight in the Genesis version) with several stages, and each mission has you blasting aliens all the way to the end, from the streets to the mother ship where you'll meet the mother of all aliens. Unfortunately, blasting these aliens will not be an easy task, as they get tougher in every mission, and are capable of hiding into objects such as plants, postboxes, trashcans, drums, and several others. Each mission has an objective such as rescuing people destroying an UFO.

When you deal with a few aliens, flying heads will appear, which you can shoot to collect life or energy (by the way, life is important to you, since if yours get empty, you're dead). However, rather than using your ordinary weapons, you can use the special attacks that are enough to kill aliens you currently see. These types of attack vary depending on the character you choose at the start of the game. For instance, Gordon summons a U.S. Air Force Jet that drop bombs across the street, while Scooter is able to teleport out of his present location, and leave a series of bombs that will blow up aliens on sight, he will then re-appear. However, using your character's special attack uses up a lot of energy, and if you have little or no energy, you can't use it.

At the end of some missions is an alien boss, which you must destroy in order to complete the mission. Also, at the end of every one, you have to enter buildings where you participate in a shooting gallery. The object is to kill aliens popping up from several locations with the building.

Massive 'save the human race' game, with cool visuals, but a bit easy. A sort of Golden Axe in the 21st century.
