Tee off! It's time to play in one of the greatest golfing competitions ever: The Arnold Palmer Tournament. And he's not going to make it easy. With only 16 players allowed to compete, you'll have to prove yourself to qualify. You may be playing on lush country courses, but there's plenty of obstacles, from water hazards to sand traps to the ever present rough. So, pick your club carefully. Check the weather vane for the wind. Settle your feet and angle yourself exactly. Then go for the pin! Whether you're playing a course in the U.S., Japan or Great Britain, you'll need all your skill. Study the hole. Is this an impossible dog leg; will you need to hook or slice down the fairway; how deep are you in the rough? Use the practice mode to prepare yourself. Whether it's the precision of a par three, or the power of a long drive, you'll have to "charge". At least you can rely on your professional caddy as your right hand man. And remember, Arnie's never far away.

You are on the 18th tee, one stroke behind the defending champion. Do you take your caddy's advice and play it safe, or do you risk the water? Awesome Golf provides great realism and a challenge for one to four players.

One or Two players can play a round on this video course modeled after the real Pebble Beach. Each player can select their own handicap. Every one of the 18 holes has familiar golf hazards - bunkers, slopes, and water hazards. You'll also have to contend with some of Mother Nature's hazards like changing wind conditions and Pebble Beach's most difficult obstacle - the ocean.

Once you tee off you'll have all kinds of decisions to make. Check your score card to see how you're doing. The card tells you the distance in yards and par for each hole. The computer gives you a bird's-eye view and cross-sectional view of each hole, as well as close-ups of the green. You select the right club for each shot. Control your shot to get the power, distance, and hook or slice you want on the ball. After you've made your shot the computer tells you what kind of lie you have as well as the remaining distance to the hole.

The player is a participant on a 18-hole championship golf course. His objective is to acquire the lowest score possible. The rules used in this game are the same as in actual golf.

Fairly decent golfing sim featuring golfing legend Chi Chi Rodriguez. Uses an overhauled version of the Battle Golfer Yui game engine. Even so, I prefer Leaderboard - thanks, anyway.

CyberTiger is a Golf game, developed by Xantera and published by EA Sports, which was released in 2000.

A step back from the Tiger Woods PGA simulation style, CyberTiger is a wacky and fun arcade style golf game. You have a Career Mode, Stroke Play, and Rapid Fire to hone your skills. There are a variety of fun characters to chose from, so take your pick and go for the hole in one!

Devil's Course is a Golf Sim game, developed by T&E Soft and published by Sega, which was released in Japan in 1994.

In this video game, the player chooses from four generic golf courses and must compete in either a tournament, stroke play, or match play. Each golfer has his/her unique strengths and weaknesses. Names can be changed in addition to shirt color and the difficulty level. Through a Game Gear link, four players can play at once. Fred Couples, the famous golfer that endorsed the game, can only be used as an opponent. He is not available as either a teammate or as a playable character.

While the ball is on the ground, the player is shown an overhead view and must analyze it before swinging his golf club. The player can also choose a caddie and is presented with the "rare" Sega Sports logo.
