Best of the Best Championship Karate is a realistic fighting game. After you choose your fighter for his parameters (strength, stamina and resistance), you can choose from 55 different moves. You can now train your fighter at a gym before the real fights. To master the game, one must alternate training and fights, as training improves stamina, strength and resistance. Be careful, loosing a fight reduces those parameters, so you have to be ready before getting on the ring ! ~courtesy of MobyGames.com

No, it's not karate - actually, it's kickboxing, a hybrid between boxing and karate.
A unique game in the Genesis sports genre. Having no competition is not a bad useridea, since there are no others to either rip you off or show how bad you are. It's decent enough, but it ain't no Street Fighter - nor is it supposed to be.

Boxing Legends of the Ring lets you play as one of the following eight greats in your effort to become champion: "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, Jake "The Raging Bull" LaMotta, Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Graziano, Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran, Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard, and James "Lights Out" Toney.
Exhibition, Career and Battle of the Legends are the three game modes available, with Career Mode allowing you to create your own boxer and slug through six fights for the Middleweight Belt. Each boxer is rated in punch power, stamina and chin, depending on his style of fighting (street, military or Olympic).
After selecting a style, you'll receive ten strength points to divide among the three categories. For every fight you win, you'll earn two more strength points, while every loss will give you one point for experience. Career progress can be saved via passwords received after each fight.
The game features a perspective just over your boxer's shoulder as your opponent looks toward the screen. Moves such as jabs, uppercuts, hooks, blocks and ducks are all part of the fighting, as are clinches, allowing boxers to hug their opponents to regain stamina.
Other notable features include: super punches earned after each round or knockdown (up to three); optional "blackouts" causing the screen to go black after repeated blows to the head; adjustable exhibition rounds from two to twelve per match; instant replay letting you review each knockdown; and different skill levels for either Exhibition or Battle of the Legends game modes (from one to five).

Chavez features gameplay that was practically useridentical to that featured in Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing. The graphics are similar in function; however, they have been completely redrawn in a more cartoon-like style. As Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing, the visuals of a fight are made up of 2D sprite-based boxers and a simple 3D boxing ring. A small overhead map of the ring featuring both fighters' positions is also visible during fights. The game features a career mode in which the player fights their way through all the boxers in the game until facing Chavez himself. The game also features an exhibition mode in which players can play as any boxer and put them in matches against any boxer in the game.
Using this as a navigation aid, it is possible to move boxers 360 degrees around the ring. However, due to all the boxers' sprites being drawn from one side-on point of view, their lateral movement appears somewhat unusual.

Each fight is seen from behind and slightly to one side of one of the boxers, so that the player appears to be looking over their shoulder, in the direction of their opponent. In the North American version, the blood is colored red while the Japanese version uses sweat instead. This is contrary to Nintendo's then-current censorship policy that blood should never be used in their games. Between each round, girls in bikinis announce the next round by showing a number around the ring (and to the player).

"Big" George Foreman is back! After a ten-year absence from the ring, the former Heavyweight Champion is on the road to the Title again! The Goliath from Texas has won 26 out of 27 fights in the last four years, facing one young high-ranked contender after the next. The 43-year-old Foreman first took down Steve Zouski in a four-round knockout and followed with impressive knockouts over Gerry Cooney and Adilson Rodriguez, putting Foreman among the top competitors for the Championship. The 260 lb. giant George has an astounding lifetime record of 71 wins and 3 losses. Foreman began his career in 1969 after winning the gold medal in the 1968 Olympics. He quickly developed a reputation as a fighter with a devastating punch, winning 37 times without a loss, 34 by knockout, before his match with then-Heavyweight Champ Joe Frazier. In 1973, at the age of twenty-five, he took the Heavyweight Title by knockout from Frazier. He lost to Muhammad Ali in 1974. Now older and wiser, Foreman exhibits the concentration and fierce professionalism of a veteran. In his recent fight against Alex Stewart, both boxers took a severe beating but Foreman's incredible endurance kept him in the fight through all ten brutal rounds against the younger Stewart. Foreman was a man who came to fight and win. He did. Eighteen years after capturing the Heavyweight Belt, the gregarious boxer with an appetite for fame, glory, and food is once again in line for the Title. And it looks like nothing will stop George Foreman now!

Now you can step into the shoes of former World Heavyweight Champion George Foreman as you make one last run at the title. The aim of the game is to beat fifteen fictitious opponents, each with his own fighting style, from a perspective just behind your boxer. While there is no movement inside the ring, players will be able to dodge punches by pushing left or right on the control pad. Foreman can pummel his opponents using left and right jabs, hooks and a limited number of "superpunches." These special blows are earned through delivering successful combinations, and once you receive one, you'll be able to unleash a powerful attack!
Damage meters for each boxer are graphically represented by two large portraits located on either side of the screen. As a fighter receives punishment, the portrait will start to show swelling, bruises and even blood! While each fight consists of three rounds lasting three minutes apiece, it will end early if one of the following occurs: you knock down the opponent a total of four times; you knock down the opponent three times within a round to earn a TKO; or you land a knockout punch. A panel of three judges will decide the fight should it end without a knockout or TKO. Once you've recaptured the Heavyweight Title of the World, you can take on a friend to see who's the better fighter!

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out is one of the most popular and biggest selling video games of all time. Step into the ring as Little Mac, a 17-year-old fighter from the Bronx, ranked number three in the minor circuit. Your goal is to work your way up through the rankings so that you can challenge Mike Tyson, Kid Dynamite, in a dream fight.
But the road to the championship is long and hard. You'll have to work your way up through the minor, major, and world circuits by winning 14 bouts against some very tough opponents.
The rules of the World Video Boxing Association govern your bouts. Each match is three three-minute rounds long. Any boxer knocked down for a 10 count is Knocked Out (KO). If a boxer goes down three times, he'll find himself a Technical Knock Out (TKO). If both boxers make it to the end of the third round, the ref determines the winner.
Once you're in the ring you'll have to beat your opponent with smart fighting. Use left and right punches, as well as uppercuts to knock your opponent to the mat. Dodge your opponent's blows with some fancy footwork. Dazzle them with your brilliance and you'll be the World Video Boxing Association Champion. On the other hand, you might find yourself down for the count.

The player assumes the role of a green-haired boxer, who must fight his way through six increasingly larger-than-life boxers to earn the title of 'Champ' in this superb 1-on-1 fighting game.
During matches, the player's boxer is viewed from behind as a wire-frame (so the player's opponent can be seen). Players must time their punches, dodges and blocks in order to defeat the opposing boxer.
The player's opponents are each rendered as humorous cartoon-like caricatures - adding much to the game's atmosphere - and each boxer fights in a slightly different style, forcing players to adapt to their strategy. The top monitor is used for statistics while the bottom one is used to display the actual fight.

Mike Tyson's punch out without Mike Tyson(Tyson lost his title so Nintendo did not renew their contract with him). Instead, this version has Mr. Dream. Play as Little Mac, an unknown boxer, on the way to the top of the boxing world!
Punch Out is a lot of fun even though it is not as popular as it's Mike Tyson counterpart. Punch Out is one of the best classic games we have, well one of the most popular anyway. It can be a pretty tough game as you get higher in rank. Mr. Dream is really tough. Punch Out is a cornerstone of classic gaming, so if you haven't tried it, you need to.

Riddick Bowe Boxing lets aspiring boxers compete in three modes of play: One Player Match, Two Player Match and Career Mode. Create up to seven boxers with customizable features such as name, hair, face, skin, gloves and trunks and save them to battery. In Career Mode, you must beat the 24 ranked fighters in order to face Riddick Bowe himself. As you win or lose fights, you'll be able to increase your abilities in power, speed and agility by selecting icons such as the mega-gym or speed bag.
Prepare to face a contender at certain times or retire from the ring if you lose two fights in a row. Your fighter also ages as he gains experience and must hang up the gloves after forty fights! The game is presented in a similar style as Evander Holyfield's "Real Deal" Boxing for the Sega Genesis: boxers are shown from a 2D horizontal perspective with individual damage meters for the body and head. A fatigue bar will decrease as you suffer blows, and a radar at the top of the screen lets you know your position in the ring at all times.

Super Punch-Out!! is the Super NES update to Mike Tyson's Punch Out, the NES classic. The game has you boxing your way through round after round against such wacky characters as Gabby Jay, Mad Clown, Bald Bull, and Dragon Chan. Some of the characters return from the original Mike Tyson game, while others are new. There are 16 different fighters in all, each with a special move.
Your boxer in this game is transparent, allowing for a first-person perspective, a view that remains faithful to the arcade version of Punch Out, which made its debut in 1984. Defensive positions include guarding, dodging and ducking while punching maneuvers include a variety of uppercuts, hooks, body blows, and jabs. Each punch has different power and speed. You can use special knock out punches when you build up your power meter. Stamina meters allow you to track you and your opponents' fatigue factor.
Super Punch Out!! features battery-back memory and allows you to enter your name so records and data can be saved for future play. You can play Championship Mode, in which your must progress through the four circuits, or Time Attack Mode, which enables you to select the opponent of your choice and try to improve your time record.
