Peter Banning was a middle-aged attorney living a good life. That is until the day Granny Wendy told him about a time he had forgotten. Long ago he lived in Neverland and never wanted to grow up. He was Peter Pan. He must now return to Neverland to rescue his children from the nefarious Captain Hook. In Hook, you control Peter as he makes his way through Neverland in search of his children. Many obstacles and foes are there to get in your way, though, so your venture through Neverland will not be an easy one. You'll have to avoid such enemies as ghosts, zombies, and even banana-throwing monkeys on your way to Hook. In order to defeat him, you'll need to collect four special items. When you have collected these, you will be the Peter Pan of old, ready to take on any challenge.

In the Steven Spielberg movie Hook, you play the grown-up Peter Pan (Banning) whose kids were kidnapped by Captain Hook. Tinker Bell takes you back to Neverland where you must become Pan again and get your kids back.
This particular interpretation is a side-scrolling action game, in which you must hack your way past Hook's denizens through 11 levels. These include forests, icy regions and towns, and will see Peter having to jump and swim through. Magic items such as apples and pixie dust can be collected for special powers. When enemies are attacked, they simply put their hands up in surrender rather than dying, so as to make the game more child-friendly.

What if Peter Pan decided to come back to our world and give up Never Never Land? That is the interesting premise behind the controversial Steven Speilberg film, inspired by the original James Barrie children's novel. In the film, an adult Peter Pan must somehow rediscover the magic of his lost youth and use its power to save his kidnapped children from the clutches of the villainous Captain Hook. The computer game picks up at the point in the movie where Peter is first reunited with the Lost Boys, and must first prove who he is before they will help him.
The useridea is certainly original and the movie was halfway decent, with some beautiful scene-chewing going on between Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman, though you must admit that the the roller coaster was a really STOOPID useridea. The game itself ultimately falls flat. I can't put my finger exactly on why it does, but it does.

The Lion King is a video game based on Disney's popular animated film. The title was published by Virgin Interactive in 1994.
The game is a side-scrolling platform game, with the controlled character having to leap, climb, run and descend from platform to platform. There is an exception during the level The Stampede, where Simba is running towards (or in the NES and Game Boy versions, running with the camera looking straight down on top of him) the camera dodging wildebeest and leaping over rocks.
In most versions of the game two bars appear on the HUD. To the left is the roar meter, which must be fully charged for Simba's roar to be effective. To the right is the health bar which decreases when Simba is hurt. At the bottom left of the screen is a counter showing how many lives Simba has remaining. Health can be restored by collecting bugs which come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some rare health-damaging bugs also exist.
The player controls Simba (first as a cub, then later as an adult) in the main levels and either Timon or Pumbaa in the bonus levels.

Based on the blockbuster animated feature film, Disney's "The Lion King" brings to life the majesty of Africa through the tale of Simba, a lion cub. Using animators from the Disney Studios and music from the movie soundtrack the videogame takes you to Pride Rock.
Fight your way through 10 levels as Simba to the ultimate battle with the evil Uncle Scar. Tackle heinous hyenas in the Elephant's Graveyard, avoid the wildebeests' hooves in the side-scrolling version of the movie's stampede scene. Play the bonus levels as Simba's friends in exile, Pumbaa the Warthog and Timon the Meerkat.
The partnership of Disney Software and Virgin Interactive Entertainment combine with Sega to make this game the new standard in animation and interactive entertainment.
An excellent license with superbly detailed graphics and lots of involving platform gameplay. A very good Master System adaptation

Now you can experience the magic and wonder of the movie, in which Simba the lion must come of age and regain the rule of the Veldt, unlawfully usurped by his conniving uncle. Based on the hit animated Disney feature film, which was an unabashed in-your-face direct rip-off of the classic anime movie Jungle Emperor (i.e. Kimba the White Lion) by legendary Japanese anime sensei Osuma Tezuka.
Excellent animation, with your choice of two characters to play (cub and later adult Simba). Potentially frustrating in later rounds, and the ending isn't worth the effort - except in saying that you beat this game.

The game is mostly a side-scrolling platform game with occasional levels where the camera is top-down. The gameplay is very similar to the first The Lion King video game, in which the player takes control of Simba and must leap and run between platforms while fighting enemies and avoiding pit-falls. During levels Simba can collect star-shaped tokens which add to the overall score.

This video game is packed with five games which are Jungle Pinball (self explanatory), Burper (a shooter type game, using Pumbaa to belch gas), Hippo Hop (identical to Frogger), Bug Drop (based on Puyo Puyo) and Slingshooter (a slingshot game) accessible directly from the menu. The object in this game is to have fun while Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King entertain the player with glimpses of jungle living, especially when certain mini-games require the player to consume insects.
