The Death and Return of Superman is a video game version of two incredibly popular DC comic book series, "The Death of Superman" and "The Reign of the Supermen."
Doomsday, the most powerful foe Superman has ever faced, is trashing Metropolis. As Superman, you must fight your way through a legion of enemies to find him and engage in battle. Doomsday is tough, but so is our hero. Superman can jump, fly, and punch, and he can throw his enemies left, right, and into the background. He also has heat vision and is capable of throwing an earthquake punch, which levels all enemies on the screen.
If Superman loses the battle with Doomsday, the game is over. If Superman puts up a good fight, both he and Doomsday die from a pair of simultaneous punches, but the game continues with you going on to play other characters. The levels following the big battle introduce four new Supermen (Superboy, The Man of Steel, The Cyborg, and The Eradicator), each of them claiming to be the real Superman. Each of these new characters has his own special abilities and powers.
Are any one of these mysterious new Supermen the real Superman? Are Superman and Doomsday really dead? Play this game, which is virtually useridentical to its Sega Genesis counterpart, to find out.

The Death and Return of Superman, based on the now-infamous story arc in which Superman actually died and four wannabes arrived on the scene each claiming to be the Man of Steel reborn.
This is far superior to Sunsoft's first attempt at a Superman game, and a pretty good side scrolling beat 'em up to boot, although I find it hard to believe that a simple punch can do so much damage to our Kryptonian superhero.

You play Sylvester the Cat. Your job is to catch the irrepressible Tweety Bird. Sounds simple, you say? You obviously don't know your Looney Toons! Inspired by the classic Warner animated shorts.
Although it lacks the polished graphics and animation of other titles inspired by the Looney Toons, this one is the most true to its source material. You even get the occasional odd bit of help and look of reproach from your son Junior whenever you do something wrong. My personal favorite of the Looney Toon games.

Contrary to the classic speedy gameplay in the Sonic series, Tails Adventures is a puzzle-based platformer with a strong emphasis on item collecting and backtracking, like a side-scrolling action RPG.
Tails can walk, jump, duck, look up, fly, hang on ledges, and can solve puzzles and defend himself with a range of different items, such as Hammers, various types of Bombs, and medallions bearing other characters, which allow him to perform additional actions, such as Spin-Dashing or punching enemies. His health is measured numerically by a Ring Item Box at the top left corner of the screen. HP is replenished by collecting Rings, which can be found by blowing up rocks or defeating enemies. He starts with 10 HP, but that number maxes out at 99 when all six Chaos Emeralds have been collected. His air time is limited by the flight gauge, which starts at about 3 seconds and maxes out at about 15.
