Players guide Arthur aardvark around a map of Elwood City, playing ten different mini games. Each completed mini game awards Arthur a gold star, collecting 16 stars earns Arthur a free pass to enter the amusement park Wonder World and play a further five different mini games. Players can replay all mini games once access to the theme park has been earned.

In this two player game each player controls an artillery gun set in a mountain landscape with the goal of destroying the other player. Players take turns firing at each other.

On each turn you have a limited amount of time in which the barrel angle and powder level can be set in order to control the direction and distance of the shot. When deciding on your shot, you will need to take the current conditions into account, which includes wind speed/direction and any mountains that may get in your way. Successfully destroying your opponents gun will earn you a point, and the first player to reach the set number of points wins the game. There are multiple skill levels available which set the amount of time you have to make a shot.

Ashita no Joe, known as Tomorrow's Joe in N. America, is a Boxing game, developed by Wave and published by K Amusement Leasing, which was released in Japan in 1992.

Ashura Blaster is a 1990 vertically scrolling shoot 'em up arcade game developed by Visco and both published and distributed by Taito. In Assault, the player controls a futuristic tank, attacking the surface forces of an alien environment. Assault's main draw was its innovative controls and perspective.

The tank is controlled by two four-way joysticks. The standard movements, such as "forward" and "turn left", are executed in the same manner as with other tank games, such as Battlezone (i.e. push both joysticks away for "forward", pull the left joystick towards and push the right joystick away for "turn left"). But since the joysticks were four-way, two other moves could be executed. Pushing both joysticks away from one another (i.e. the left to the left and the right to the right) caused the tank to rear up towards its back end for a moment. When in this position, the player could fire a lethal nuclear blast instead of the standard shots when in the normal position. The tank returned to normal driving by pressing the joysticks back together, or by waiting a few seconds. If both joysticks were pushed right or left, the tank would roll (or strafe) to that direction.

Assault is a Shoot-'Em-Up game, developed and published by Bomb, which was released in 1983.

The two warring governments, the Axis and Federation, have the ability to go into space and create giant space stations and weapons of mass destruction.

Jake is the game's protagonist. He is a soldier drafted into the Pacific States' Marine Corp and pilots a Federation Assault Suit. The Suit has a humanoid shape, with arms, legs, torso, and head. It is equipped with a variety of weapons and other special accessories, giving it full land and minor air capabilities.

Jake and his platoon are tasked with destruction of Bildvorg, the most powerful mech of the Axis forces. The various missions in the game lead up to the completion of this objective.

The gameplay takes place in 50 BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. One small Gaulish village continues to defy the occupying forces, thanks to a magic potion which makes them invincible. But now Obelix has vanished. The Romans have confirmed his capture and taken him to an unknown destination.

This arcade adventure captures the feel of the comic books very well, but the gameplay looks a bit tired.

Based on the infamous French comics, Asterix is an example of the old cliche - a platform licensed game. Asterix and his fat friend Obelix must battle through many levels to do something or other... the plot is irrelevant.

The platform action is fairly simple, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - there are loads of levels, some of which are quite large, and it's enjoyable enough to play through them. They are split into 7 rounds, consisting of 3 or so stages, which you can choose to play through with Asterix or Obelix. At the end of most rounds, you have to defeat a boss, which is no doubt another character from the world of Asterix.

The levels are quite varied, and the graphics are pretty good. There is pretty much every platform game feature you could think of - destroyable blocks, bonus pickups, water sections, ice sections, moving platforms, springs, bonus stages, and so on. The levels actually differ depending on which character you choose, so there's even more to play through - 42 levels in total.

Overall, Asterix is an accomplished if deeply unoriginal platform game - if you like this kind of thing, you'll enjoy it and if you don't, don't bother.

The player fights as either Asterix the Gaul or his best friend, Obelix, as they take on the 'might' of the oppressive Roman Empire. Asterix includes a variety of humorous fighting moves, which are demonstrated in the game's attract mode. The artwork and feel of Asterix remains true to its French source material, and the game's many humorous touches (such as the way defeated Legionnaires crawl away) will be instantly familiar to fans of the comic-book and cartoon series. Bonus levels - such as the chariot race that awaits at the end of the first level - introduce different gameplay elements to provide a break from the fighting.

You play as Asterix in standard platforming form, and must progress through several levels while battling with various enemies. The ultimate goal is to rescue your friend Obelix who is being held captive by Julius Caesar, and is in danger of being thrown to the lions. It is a side-scrolling platform game, with various levels typical of the genre, including underwater. The startup screen offers a choice of difficulty level, as well as the ability to turn off the music and/or sound effects.

The game is based on the popular French comics series Asterix. It is 50 B.C., and the entire Gaul (today's France) is conquered by the Romans. Only one village still remains independent, thanks to the incredible powers of its two great warriors, Asterix and Obelix. In the game, they must first of all liberate the village Orvio and rescue their friend Dogmatix.

You can play as either Asterix or Obelix. You make your way through platform levels, fighting enemies by punching them, and jumping to access higher ares or to avoid falling down. There are also some items you can collect, such as bombs, with which you can overcome obstacles and advance in the game.

Nice graphics, with some of the best sprites on the Master System, but the platform gameplay is just a bit too predictable.

Asterix and the Secret Mission is yet another platform game based on the French comic character. Much like Asterix, every level can be played as Asterix or Obelix, his clinically obese friend, and again the levels are different depending on which character you choose. There are 5 or 6 levels this time, far fewer than in Asterix, and again they are fairly simple, cliche-ridden platform levels - enjoyable, if you like platformers, but hardly ground-breaking.

The plot this time is that you must collect the ingredients needed for a magic potion... one per level. You have to find the ingredient before you can exit a level.

Overall, it varies from easy to tricky, and occasionally veers towards originality, but in the end is Yet Another SMS Platformer.
