"Another Story" is unique among the Sailor Moon games as it is an RPG. In battle, compatible Sailor Senshi (2 or 3) can use "Link Techniques", which are unique team up attacks with various effects, be they offensive, healing, or defensive. EP (energy points) regenerate after each battle. The storyline of the RPG is fairly linear. All ten user of the Sailor Team are playable. Only five user of the Team can be in the player's party at one time. For a good part of the game, the storyline dictates which Senshi are playable, however further into the game the player may choose which Senshi are in the party (though certain Senshi are sill required to be in the party at certain points).
The game appears to be set between the third and fourth story arcs. The story combines its own elements with those of both anime and manga, such as Tuxedo Mask's anime-based rose-throwing, or Chibiusa's manga-based use of the Holy Grail to become Super Sailor Chibi Moon. Throughout the game, the player can also collect puzzle pieces which make an image of the Senshi and Tuxedo Mask. If the puzzle is completed, there is a reward at the end.

You wake up in the middle of a forest. Your head hurts. You don't remember anything: you don't know who you are, and you vaguely recall your name. A man approaches you and says his name is Darus. After realizing that you are suffering from a strange amnesia, Darus takes you to a nearby village and soon reveals to you that he is a sorcerer on a quest for revenge. You join forces, and soon become involved in a complex mystery of a kidnapped princess, the destruction of the world, and search for your own useridentity...
Radia Senki is set in a semi-modern, semi-medieval environment, and introduces an unusual blend between action and strategic RPG. During the pre-set (not random) battles, your party and the enemies can freely move around the battle screen. You control the main character by attacking in real time, but you can pause at any time and give a command to other party user: attack a specified enemy, be offensive in general, use a healing or other technique, pretend to be dead, etc.

Radical Dreamers, also know as Radical Dreamers: The Unstealable Jewel, is a Japanese video game produced by Square (now Square Enix) in 1996 for the Satellaview add-on for the Nintendo Super Famicom.
The game belongs to the Chrono series and is a gaiden, or side story, to the 1995 game Chrono Trigger. It was released to complement its predecessor's plot, and later served as inspiration for Chrono Cross.
Gameplay consists of text-based scenarios presented to the player through the narration of the main character, Serge. As the narrative progresses, the game presents a list of possible actions and the player must choose his or her course. Depending on the choices made, the player may enter a new area, be presented with a new situation or character, or have to choose again if the previous selection was incorrect. In combat with enemies, the player must select from options such as "Fight", "Magic", "Run", and often more complex situational commands like "Run my knife into the goblin's chest!" or "Quickly slash at its hand!".[ Some decisions must be made before an invisible timer runs out; in combat, hesitation results in injury or death. Serge's health is tracked by an invisible point count, restored by various events (such as finding a potion). The game also tracks Kid's affection for Serge, influenced by battles and scripted events. Her feelings determine whether Serge survives the story's climactic fight.

Robotrek, AKA Slapstick, is a role-playing video game released in 1994. It was published by Enix and developed by Quintet and Ancient.
Gameplay: Robotrek has similar gameplay to that of most RPG video games, with the notable exception that the main character is not the combatant; rather, the robots he invents are, making it more similar to Pokemon and Dragon Quest Monsters. The robots are highly customizable, in aspects such as equipment, special attacks, body color and name. The player is allowed to build a maximum of three robots. Unlike many RPGs, the player must invent or create the robots equipment, use "Program Points" to set the robot's attributes (as opposed to these attributes being set by the game), and program special attacks in a macro-like fashion, although certain commands do special effects instead. Much of the game revolves around creating and combining items for your robots' benefit, and is essential to make higher-level equipment. The player creates and combine items using an invention machine. More items can be created by finding the "Inventor's Friends" series which can only be accessed depending on the character's level. Aiding the combination process are items called Scrap, these allow the player to create basic equipment or make more powerful ones. Weapons can also be strengthened by combining one weapon with the same type (swords for a Sword). A weapon can increase strength by nine times (called levels).
Story: On the planet of Quintenix, where the situation has long been peaceful, a group calling themselves "The Hackers", headed by Blackmore, suddenly starts an uprising against the population by disrupting the peace of the town of Rococo (and elsewhere). The main character (who appears to be nameless) is the son of a famous inventor, Dr. Akihabara, who decides to move to Rococo. The main character soon sets off to find out that The Hackers want Dr. Akihabara for a sinister purpose, as Akihabara refuses an offer to join them. The story unfolds to the point where The Hackers' ultimate goal is the Tetron, a mysterious stone that allows viewers to observe events past and future and travel through time.

Romancing SaGa 3 is the sixth title in the SaGa role-playing video game series developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) and released exclusively for the Super Famicom system in Japan.
The gameplay is similar to other console RPGs of the era, but with several notable differences. For example, instead of 'level ups', character stats increase individually depending on their participation in a battle. Also, a character has a certain amount of 'LP', which decreases when the character's HP is reduced below zero or when they are hit while their HP remains at zero. If the LP of a character is zero, they are removed from the party, but they can be recruited again with the exception of the main character of the current game, once the main character reaches zero LP, it results in an automatic game over.
During battle, characters can learn ("spark") new techniques which often turn the battle in their favor; the same goes for gaining the ability to evade certain enemy attacks. There is also a Commander mode, which requires at least one character more than the lead character, with the lead character on the back lines, out of the battle. If the player has less than a full party of 6 he or she may use one person smaller formations (i.e. using a four-person formation with a party of five so the main character can direct in Commander mode.) During Commander mode, techniques that involve multiple characters can be learned, depending on the formation.

Brought to your Super NES by the makers of the Final Fantasy series, Secret of Mana is a wonderful game that fans of The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past and other action-oriented RPGs will thoroughly enjoy. This epic saga lets up to three gamers (with the help of a multi-tap adaptor) explore a vast, lushly illustrated world filled with monsters and secrets. There's occasional slowdown (when too many characters are onscreen at once), but this is virtually the game's only fault. The battles are enjoyable, there's plenty of upgradeable weaponry (sword, axe, whip, spear, boomerang, gloves, bow, javelin) and magic, the musical score is appropriately grand, and the storyline, which features a number of plot twists, is engrossing.

Secret of the Stars (named Aqutallion in Japan) was a 2D role-playing video game released in 1993 and developed and published by Tecmo.
Gameplay: The battle system follows the traditional JRPG battle system where the party trades blows with opponents in simple turn-based fashion, the player selecting all commands for the following round of combat and then watching the results, such as in the Dragon Quest games. Gameplay switches between two parties throughout the game and certain areas are inaccessible without the right party.
Story: The main character Ray and his party of Aqutallion warriors embark on a quest to find and destroy Homncruse, the evil power threatening their world. Ray begins his journey alone on a tiny island, but eventually he meets his friends and fellow Aqutallion warriors: Tina, Cody, Leona and Dan, and even creates a town for the victims of Homncruse's evil to live. Villains encountered along tend to range from comical, such as Cat Boo and Badbad, to the elite generals of evil of Homncruse.
