This ain't no 20-minute workout. It's the ultimate in head-to-head competition, in 8 grueling events. 100 meter dash. Long jump. Hurdles. Javelin. Skeet shooting. Triple jump. Archery. And the high jump. No timeouts, no breathers, no water boys. Just you and your own exhaustion. So get psyched. Pick your level of competition and the opening event. Then block out the roar of the crowd and take a deep breath. Because it's not whether you win or lose. It's whether you survive!

A fun creative outlet for aspiring artists and musicians, Mario Paint lets youngsters (and the young at heart) color, draw, compose music (from more than a dozen sounds) and produce four-, six- and nine-frame animations. Simple interfacing combined with a variety of colors, icons and backgrounds give the game virtually limitless replay value. The biggest drawback is that you can only save one picture at a time. Also, unlike with similar computer programs, you can't print your work. As a bonus, the cartridge includes a surprisingly enjoyable game of Gnat Attack, which involves using the mouse to maneuver a fly swatter around the screen in order to swat pesky critters.

Designed with very young children in mind, Mario's Early Years: Fun With Letters takes place in seven different worlds: Alphabet World, Last Letter World, Vowel World, Building World, Sound World, Sentence World, and First Letter World. Each world features a series of point and click games designed to help youngsters learn their letters and words. You can play the game as Mario, Princess Toadstool, or Yoshi. When you point and click on an item, the computer tells you things like what the word or letter is or how it fits in a sentence. Below each play field (except in the Alphabet World), Mario's brother Luigi lies sleeping. If you wake him up, this adds a new dimension to the game. The computer begins asking you to useridentify letters, fill in sentences, and other simple tasks related to words and letters. The items depicted include apples, pigs, caps, suns, and other common objects.

Designed for children too young to play action games such as Super Mario World, Mario's Early Years: Preschool Fun lets junior learn about shapes, differences and similarities, numbers, sounds and other objects and concepts. Using the Control Pad or Super NES mouse, players guide a pointer around the screen, pointing and clicking on an assortment of items in six different worlds. Mario, Yoshi or Princess Toadstool will be your child's guide through Shape World, Color World, Listening World, Opposite World, Counting World and Body World.
Within the various worlds are numerous activities. Your child can point to numbers to hear them counted, click on Mario's body parts to learn about the body and watch Mario move, match and sort colors, match shapes to corresponding objects and much more. Fun Friend characters will show up from time to time when your child gives a correct response. Sometimes hidden Fun Friends will appear as if from nowhere when your child points and clicks on special areas of the screen.
Shape World, Color World, Listening World, Opposite World offer a Learning mode and a Discovery mode. While in Learning mode, the child will be asked by Luigi to perform specific tasks, such as locating a yellow circle or useridentifying a chicken. Counting World and Body World contain only the Discovery mode, which lets the child point and click on items just for fun and in a random fashion.
The instruction manual for Mario's Early Years: Preschool Fun includes a paragraph with each fantasy world describing related activities in the real world. For example, the instructions for Shape World suggest that you and your child have fun finding shapes in your home and neighborhood.

Mario's Time Machine is an educational video game developed by The Software Toolworks for DOS and the SNES.
Set in 1993, Bowser is in possession of a time machine. He went back in time to steal many artifacts from the past, and placed them in what he would consider "...the greatest museum of all time". If the items aren't returned soon, history will be changed permanently. Characters including Luigi and Yoshi are featured, though the latter only in the NES version. Mario's Time Machine uses a sidescrolling perspective and requires players to send Mario to different time periods to find the items. When time traveling to another time, players must partake in a surfing mini-game before they can reach it, though in the NES version, players must control Mario through a platforming mini-game. Mario may converse with people in these time periods to get information to help him. At certain points, players are initiated to fill in the blanks of a document discussing something historical, using one of several numerous pre-determined words to fill the blanks in. In the game, Mario has a monkey named Bobo.
