A street tough escaping from his latest round with the law is surprised by an elderly Asian gentleman who tells him that he fights like a "headless chicken," but has promise. He then offers the tough the chance of a lifetime - joining the Tobiko-Ryu Dojo and learning the true path of the warrior.

An early entry in the two-player beat-'em-up genre. Think Jordan Mechner's Karateka but without the cool story and you begin to get the useridea.

Clock Tower is a 2D point-and-click style game, where the player controls a cursor to direct the main character, Jennifer Simpson, and give commands such as investigating objects or opening doors. The interface is akin to 1990-era computer adventure games, but simplified to work better with a gamepad. Primarily, the player can only move Jennifer left and right through the environment, although there are some rooms in which an action requires Jennifer to step into the background.

Clock Tower is unique to other adventure games of the era in that it features a stalker pursuing the main character; this delays puzzle solving and requires the player to run in order to find objects or hiding places to fend off or avoid the attacker. The stalker is a slasher villain, named Bobby, who wields a large pair of scissors. If directly confronted by Bobby, the player engages in a "panic" phase and must repeatedly pound the "panic button" to struggle with the attacker. If Jennifer is low on health, or the player does not tap the panic button fast enough, Bobby will attack Jennifer and the player will be presented with a game over screen.

plot:
Conker's girlfriend, Berri, decides to throw Conker a surprise birthday party. However, the Evil Acorn jumps out of the cake and kidnaps Berri along with stealing the presents. Conker has to save Berri and get his presents back. In the end, Conker rescues Berri, and the Evil Acorn gets blown away by an explosion in his base that Conker and Berri escaped from. When the Evil Acorn flies into space, he claims that he will return, but has not returned in any other Conker game yet.

Gameplay:
There are three save files which shows a short cutscene of Berri throwing Conker a surprise party and becoming kidnapped.

Conker has the ability to use a slingshot by pressing the B button to defeat enemies. Like many video games, Conker can walk via using the D-pad and run by pressing the A button twice. The B button allows Conker to punch before obtaining the Slingshot. The START button pauses the game and shows the collection of slingshot ammo, the amount of presents, etc. The select button saves the game. There are also eight worlds total in this game.

Wander through rendered polygonal corridors shooting or grabbing the occasional sprite object, or blowing away the occasional animated enemy sprite, while all the time trying to avoid a green genetic nightmare called "the Ripper" that has somehow escaped from its cage.

A first-person shooter in the same mode as Wolf3D, but lacking its polish and charm. Some nice touches here and there, as one might expect from Core, but this is one marriage of polygons and sprites that just doesn't work. Good, but not as good as Zero Tolerance.

You have only a very short time to prove your father innocent of a murder he's been jailed for... or he faces the death sentence! Use his Private Eye's office to run your own investigation. You'll need to hack into his computer files, phone his contacts, talk to some strange people - and do some legwork around town looking for vital clues! All this will take cash - so you'd better strike lucky on the Black Market, or you'll have to borrow from the loanshark. Crime City is a deep game crammed with locations to explore - all beautifully drawn and full of objects to examine and collect and people to speak to (in person and by phone). And beware - the game is also truly interactive: people's attitude towards you depend on your behavior in the game!
