BUST-A-MOVE 2 arrives on Game Boy in this slick port of the hugely popular arcade puzzle gam. In this one-player only game, bubbles of different colors descend from the top of the screen in clumps. Using your blaster that fires colored bubbles of your own, you must attempt to clear the screen as best as you can. Line up three bubbles of the same color, and they pop, leaving you a little more breathing room. BUST-A-MOVE 2 offers three unique modes of play. In Puzzle mode, you'll play through 100 stages of bubble-busting action in three different difficulty levels. To progress you have to clear out all of the bubbles, so plan your moves carefully. Time Attack mode is quite similar, except that you are now racing the clock to find the solutions. Lastly, in Versus Computer mode, you'll take on a computer opponent in a battle to see who caves first. You can string together combos to send trouble their way and ensure your victory. A password save option will help you keep track of your place so you can play again another day.

Bust a Move 3 (also known as Puzzle Bobble 3) is the second sequel to Puzzle Bobble. It was released into arcades in 1996 and later ported to the Sega Saturn, PlayStation, Game Boy, Nintendo 64 and Microsoft Windows.
The game completely abandons the useridea of previous titles that the playfield is being pushed down by some sort of mechanical device and instead attaches usergroup of bubbles to nodes that move downwards. When a node is no longer connected to any bubbles, it will disappear and when all nodes in a level have vanished the level is complete. One result of this change that may appear strange to players of previous versions is that shooting a bubble to the top of the visible playfield without striking any bubbles causes it to bounce and start travelling back downwards. The player is not penalised if such bubbles again leave the playing field without attaching to anything (except for adding to the number of moves until the field is pushed down by one empty line). Despite this some versions include a reimplementation of the Puzzle Bobble 2 levels now built around nodes (entitled Version 2.5).
Gameplay is further varied by the implementation of new scrolling playfields that are several times as high as the screen and must be conquered as an endurance event. Each scrolling playfield occupies the same space on the world map as five previous levels.

The first in the hugely successful puzzle series from Taito, Puzzle Bobble is a game for 1 or 2 players in which the aim is to clear each play area of the colored bubbles that litter it. This is achieved by firing bubbles up the screen - with the angle of trajectory dictated by the player - at the clusters of static colored bubbles that litter each play area. The aim is to forms chains of like-colored bubbles, thus making them disappear. At regular intervals, the bubbles will drop one row down the screen, making life more difficult for the players. The game is over when the bubbles reach the very bottom of the play area.
In the 1-player game there are thirty rounds to complete, whereas in the 2-player Vs. mode, the winner is the player who clears their play area first. The addictive yet straightforward game-play mechanic ensured that the "Puzzle Bobble" games would be the most successful of their genre since Russian programmer, Alexey Pajitnov's legendary "Tetris" was unleashed upon the gaming world in the late 1980s.
