The game from Virgin based on the 1992 animated Disney film is a side-scrolling platformer.

The player controls Aladdin, who must make his way through several levels based on locations from the movie: from the streets and rooftops of Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders and the Sultan's dungeon to the final confrontation in Grand Vizier Jafar's palace. The Sultan's guards and also animals of the desert want to hinder Aladdin in his way. He can defend himself with his sword or by throwing apples. Next to apples, Aladdin can also collect gems which can be traded for lives and continues with a traveling trader. Finding Genie or Abu icons enables bonus rounds. The Genie bonus round is a game of luck played for apples, gems or extra lives. In Abu's bonus round, the player controls the little monkey who has to catch bonus items that fall from the sky, but without touching any of the unwanted objects like rocks and pots.

The game's humorous animations were created by Walt Disney Feature Animation.

In this platformer Aladdin must find Jasmine and defeat Jafar. His travels will take him from the Streets of Agrabah all the way to the Cave of Wonders and back again leading up to the final showdown.
Aladdin is aided by his friends Abu, Carpet and the Genie but in the end he alone must outsmart Jafar or else he'll end up as food for Iago.
A well made game that makes good use of the settings while staying faithful to the movie.

The game faithfully follows the story as laid out in the movie, and offers players a variety of play styles. From run-and-jump sequences as he tries to jump over holes, platforms, and barrels while the screen scrolls automatically. To more traditional side-scrolling platform levels. Additional levels will have players flying the magic carpet or defeating Jafar in a sword duel.

Based on the Disney movie; converted from the 16-bit console arcade game (it is closest to the Sega Genesis version). Just finish the levels to save your princess Jasmine with the help from your friends (Abu and Genie). Collect apples to use as throwing weapons to defeat your enemies, and collect "genie icons" to give yourself more chances during the bonus rounds.

Play as Aladdin, the "diamond in the rough" who discovers a magical lamp that leads him on all sorts of adventures. Based on the hit Disney movie, itself inspired by the original tale from the 1001 Arabian Nights compilation.

Fairly solid gameplay, impressive graphics with stunning colors, and great character animation.

Alcahest is an action role-playing game with a top-down perspective that plays similar to The Legend of Zelda. It is divided into 8 stages that are progressed by finding items that aid the protagonist Alen on his quest, and end with a boss battle. After specific boss fights, the player will gain the abilities of one of the four elemental Guardians. Alen will also find five allies that will join him at predetermined points of some levels. They are the young wizard Garstein, the princess Elikshil, the knight Sirius, the android Magna and the shape-shifter dragon goddess Nevis. Though they cannot be controlled directly, allies will attack and use special moves when the corresponding button is pressed.

In traditional RPG fashion, the player has stats, including vitality that decreases when attacked, MP that is used to summon Guardians in battle, and SP (Special Points), which is required for a partner's special attack. At the end of each stage, Alen's health increases. The player is also able to attack the game's various enemies using a sword, which can also be charged for a special attack, different depending on the elemental Guardian selected. Items can also be found those that restore Alen's various stats.

Experience points can also be gained by defeating enemies and bosses, and serve to add continues. Because the game does not feature battery backup, the player is given passwords at the beginning of each new stage.

In this adventure game you control an explorer who's on his way to fortress Alcazar. To reach Alcazar you are traveling through a countryside of fortresses and you need to collect several items that you can find along the way. Once you enter the Alcazar fortress you have to search for the crown.

The strategy map gives you an overview of the countryside, it's fortresses and your location in it. What perils lurk in these mysterious castles? Which path is quick and safe? The Alcazar castle is three stories high, all other castles have only two stories. To enter a castle you just have to follow the path. Each castle has it's own sought-after objects and these objects are always guarded by the castles main demon. Objects to look for are for example: a rope, a gun, raw meat, water or a raft. Collect them and use them properly to master the legendary Alcazar fortress.

The game gives you clues and tells, for example, which monsters are nearby. Some monsters are really hard to kill.

The game can be played at four difficulty levels.

The fourth of the five SMS Alex Kidd games, Alex Kidd: High-Tech World is in fact a conversion of Anmitsu Hime, a japanese game released two years earlier. (The box text says it's the third because BMX Trial was not released outside Japan.)

On top of being a galactic hero, you have to deal with parents, teachers and palace retainers! But you're a Kidd at heart, and you just have to go to the new High-Tech World video arcade to play the newest Sega games!

The problem is, the map to the arcade has been torn up into eight pieces and hidden in the castle. As you look for the pieces you'll discover just how weird life in a castle can be! If you find them, you'll have to fight your way through a forest filled with blue Ninjas. Survive this ordeal and you'll have to find a travel pass in the village to make it over the border!

It's a game of wits, intrigue, action and excitement. There's even a PASSWORD so you can save games. Survive all the obstacles and you'll play in the hottest arcade in the land. But if you don't hert there before the 5:00 closing time, you'll be left out in the cold! Better hurry!

Alex's worst outing ever. The main problem with this is the presence of a very harsh restart procedure which always places you back at the beginning when you die. Argghhh!

Many centuries ago, on the planet Aries, there lived a boy called Alex Kidd. For seven years, he lived on Mt. Eternal studying Shellcore, an ancient art that makes one strong enough to break rocks into pieces. As he was leaving the mountain one day to travel to his spiritual homeland, a dying man told him that the peaceful city of Radactian was in grave danger. Before taking his last breath, the man gave Alex a piece of a map and a medallion made of Sun Stone.

There are eleven locations in which Alex must explore, each of them has its own unique dangers. In each location, Alex can collect bags of coins, which can be used to buy items at the shop and are used to help Alex get through each location (eg: motorcycle, peticopter, power bracelet, etc.) There are also traps that Alex must avoid like the ghost that chases him. He can also collect the Telepathy Ball that will help him read people's minds.

Later, Alex learns that in order to save Radactian from destruction, he must first defeat Janken the Great, Emperor of the planet Janbarik (he got his name from his expertise at the game of Janken -- or what people call "scissors, paper, stone" in the Western World. Janken has sent his henceman all over Radactian to prepare the game for Alex as he passes by them. In order to get past them, Alex must win three times at Janken. If he loses, he is turned to stone and vanished from Radactian forever. Later on in the game, Alex must play with the same henceman, but only this time, when Alex wins, they decide to play dirty.

Alex uses his fists to wipe out some of Janken's enemies such as birds, sea horses, bats, monkeys, frogs, and a few others. If his quest to save Radactian from the evil hands of Janken becomes difficult, he can instead use the power bracelet to perform the "Shocking Waves of Destruction", an ancient trick in the art of Shellcore.

Before Alex comes face-to-face with Janken, he should rescue his brother, Egle, from imprisonment, and get the letter and two medallions.

This is undoubtedly his most successful attempt. It was designed in competition to Mario and uses many of the same popular and successful elements.

Alex Kidd is the brother of King Igul, ruler of Planet Aries. Acting on a rumored sighting of their missing father, Alex travels to the planet Paperock to find him. Why the name? Because the child's sport of Paper-Rock-Scissors is a planet wide institution, and those who visit must display some talent in the game. The only MegaDrive entry in the long-running and popular series of arcade and console games by Sega.

Not very challenging, but not bad for a game made back in 1987.

The player takes the role of a chicken named Alfred who must find his way through bizarre levels full of balloons, telephones, cheese and other strange elements. While he is on the ground, Alfred can walk, jump, and peck balloons and ground switches. While he is in the air he can dive bomb enemies or springs. Dive bombing enemies will destroy them. Dive bombing springs will bounce Alfred much higher so he can reach platforms well above his normal jumping ability. If he does not hit an enemy or a spring, Alfred will get stuck in the ground for a short time.

To complete a level, Alfred must find and peck all the balloons. The last balloon will take him to a boss fight. If Alfred dies, he starts as an egg located at the last balloon pecked.

Alfred can receive a few power ups during the game. For one power up, he must answer a telephone in secret areas to make a giant flower give him a pot of jam. The jam gives Alfred the ability to shoot a bomb (about the size of Alfred himself) which bounces around the screen collecting things and hurting enemies. Another power up is a worm that spins around Alfred destroying enemies that it touches. You must find a can of worms to get this power up.
