In the South Pacific, Master Higgins lives peacefully wearing only a grass skirt and a cap. That is until the Evil Witch Doctor decides to capture the Princess Leilani and hold her as his own. It's up to Master Higgins to gather throwing axes, fireballs and skateboards in order to aid his noble quest.

The game is a side scroller, Master Higgins moves across the screen from left to right and finds his power-ups in giant eggs. Bosses await him at the end of levels, all the way to the Evil Witch Doctor himself.

Classic platformer, also released on NES, that stars players in the role of oddball mascot character Mr. Higgins. Mr. Higgins travels across several worlds, Mario style, fighting evil beings like turtles, floating skulls, and flying lizard things. Along with the various fruits that Mr. Higgins collects for points, he'll also run across eggs that hold various power ups. Using a skateboard upgrade, Mr. Higgins thrashes through jungles or over clouds. This allows him to rapidly move through levels and jump higher.

Well, that Evil Witch Doctor refuses to give up! Princess Leilani may be safe, but her sister, Tina, has just been nabbed. And this time you've got real trouble. Because not one, but EIGHT perilous islands stand between you and your honey. Get set to battle dinosaurs, survive avalanches and out fight the Evil Doctor's nastiest ghouls. It'll be tough, that's for sure. So just remember sweet Tina, and how grateful she'll be when you come to her rescue!"

You can go through this adventure with 4 dinosaur friends, or you can ride a skateboard. As in the first Adventure Island you 'll have to collect fruit to survive.

If you liked the first one you will love this one! This one has more twists that add on to the fun! When you see the item select screen you will think "whoa!", but that is not all! You will also see that there is more than three bonus games; Hudson Soft added an extra one for the fun! Now if you thought the first one was hard than try this one! So that basically means that you have a bigger chance of using your game-boy as a football and kick it a few yards away. However there is a password feature so you can just stop playing until your calmed down instead of kicking a field goal with your game-boy. The controls are almost exactly the same as the one for the classic Nintendo. Using your fingertips, you can master the controls!

The third game in the Adventure Island series, and again you help Master Higgins save his girlfriend Tina who has been captured by aliens. She's stranded somewhere on one of eight islands and you must find her. But be careful - each island is guarded by an enormous creature that's very hungry!

Fortunately, you have a little help. There are five kinds of friendly dinosaurs waiting to give you a lift. They're stuck in eggs that you'll need to crack open!

Hidden eggs are scattered all over the islands. By finding and breaking them open, you might get a bonus, or even a secret way to the next island! Just don't eat the eggplant...

So hop on one of your dinosaur pals, and ride your way to Tina's rescue!

You're on the island for a fourth adventure. Take Master Higgins around the island and save his dinosaur friends from a mysterious floating face.

This game is not like the first three installments in that there is not a scoring system involved. This game has more items to find to assist you in completing your quest.

A 1992 platform game by Hudson Soft for the TurboGrafx-16. The game was released shortly after Super Adventure Island, making it the fourth game in the overall Adventure Island series. It was followed by Adventure Island III for the NES and Game Boy, Super Adventure Island II for the Super NES and Takahashi Meijin no Boken Jima IV, a Japanese exclusive for the Famicom.

Master Higgins returns for more platform-hopping hijinks in this Adventure Island sequel. The cap-clad, pudgy protagonist vows revenge on a wizard after he turns Higgins' girlfriend, Jeannie Jungle, to stone. While Higgins isn't fleet of foot, the shirtless star can find a skateboard to help him quickly traverse the exotic areas of Waku-Waku. Weapons such as boomerangs and stone hammers can be thrown high or low to defeat enemies, which include tribal warriors, reptiles, penguins, and walruses. Journey inside the belly of a whale, hitch a ride in a runaway mine cart, and perform other heroics through five rounds spanning 15 side-scrolling levels.

Story:
Following on from Super Adventure Island, in this game Master Higgins, along with his wife Tina, are stricken by a storm while on their honeymoon. Both of them end up separated by the storm, and Master Higgins wakes up to find out that he does not remember anything. After exploring the island he is on, he finds out that the island is ruled by a king who recently found a girl that also suffers from amnesia and is appointed to become queen. However, she is mysteriously kidnapped and the king requests Higgins to find her. Higgins accepts the mission since he feels that the girl is able to help him recover his lost memories.

Gameplay:
Super Adventure Island II puts the player in a world map that is separated in different islands. Each one has various items and equipment, some of which can be used to access other areas on other islands to progress.

On the world map, the player travels by raft on the sea. While on the map and like in some RPGs, an enemy can randomly attack, which changes the game in another perspective (in this case, a side-scroller), where the player must defeat the enemies or flee from the area by going to a side of said area.

Once the player accesses an island or some secret area, the game switches to a side-scrolling view. In this mode is where the main game takes place.
