Shining Force 2, an entirely new story in which the Shining Force team reunites to deal with a revived King Zeon, the Evil of All Ages.
Aaahhhh, Shining Force...I must have played this game all the way through at least ten times. This is where RPGs like Vandal Hearts and Final Fantasy Tactics got their userideas. Just when you though the first one couldn't be topped, the second one comes along. More enemies, more allies, more weapons.... Shining Force 2 is my favorite Genesis RPG of all time.

The game consists of a series of turn-based tactical battles interspersed with short cutscenes. Between cutscenes the player is allowed to save the game, promote characters, resurrect fallen characters, and sometimes buy and sell weapons and healing items. The combat and leveling mechanics are useridentical to those of Shining Force I.
Due to the linear progression of the game, the English menus, and the use of gameplay mechanics useridentical to other installments of the series, the game is easily playable by non-Japanese speakers, though keeping track of equipped weapons can present some minor difficulties.

Shining Force Gaiden 3: Final Conflict is the third of the Gaiden sub-series, and is both a sequel to the original Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention, and a prequel to Shining Force II: Ancient Sealing.
Story: Max, the leader of the Shining Force from the first Shining Force game, is chasing the witch Mishaela (servant of the presumably dead villain Darksol, from the same game). One of Max's companions, the robot Adam, is injured in battle with Mishaela. Max's party stops to help the robot, and only Max and his companion Ridion continue the chase.
Unfortunately, Max and Ridion never came back from the chase. Led by a man named Ian, Max's remaining companions set out to find them, and the unexpected awaits...
Gameplay: Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict uses gameplay useridentical to Shining Force Gaiden I and II. Like most games from the series, the three Gaiden games do not possess an exploration mode. Between battles, the player is able to buy and sell items, choose the battle party, cure and resurrect units, and save the game.

The Continent of Rune has slumbered in peace for 50 generations. A horde of invaders swarm across the border, while a dragon that has slept for centuries stirs in its tomb. Only the King's youngest swordsman and his war party can defy the Dark Dragon's evil power and crush the mighty army!
This is where RPGs like Vandal Hearts and Final Fantasy Tactics got their userideas.... One of the best Genesis RPGs.

Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya, AKA Shining Force Gaiden II: Jashin no Kakusei, uses gameplay mechanics useridentical to those of its predecessor, Shining Force Gaiden. The player progresses through a series of turn-based tactical battles interspersed with short cutscenes. Between cutscenes the player is allowed to save the game, promote characters, resurrect fallen characters, and sometimes buy and sell weapons and healing items. As with most strategy RPGs, the battlefields are divided up into a grid where player characters and enemies take turns moving, attacking, casting magic and using items. Player characters gain experience by battling enemies, and may choose, once they reach level 10, to upgrade their class into a more powerful one.
SPECIAL NOTE:
This game will randomly freeze. You will not be able to complete the game without running into a major bug in the game a couple times. But if you make frequent save states you will be able to eventually finish the game.
