No Flash, Amiga, Jaguar, Virtual Boy, or Coin-Op Arcade game requests.

If you request a game hack or a translation provide a link.

Gyromite is also known as Robot Gyro (http://www.retrouprising.com/index.php?action=arcade;tag=Action) and already online. To control the robot you have to use control pad two. To switch between control pads press > and <. It is a bit tricky at first but gets easy and boring after a while. I have the high score. ;D

Adventure Island 4 (http://www.retrouprising.com/play/NES/Takahashi-Meijin-no-Boukenjima-4.php) is already here.

Sunday Funday is the same as Menace Beach (http://www.retrouprising.com/play/NES/Menace-Beach.php). The story and some graphics are changed though. I guess it is different enough to have both. It also has a lame fish game and song that Menace Beach is missing. Sunday Funday (http://www.retrouprising.com/play/NES/Sunday-Funday.php) added.

It wasn't that great. It had less than 50 games. 10 of those were just addons for Sega CD games and not stand alone games. And most of the others were just rushed ports of games already on the Genesis.

I was just going to suggest all those games on the list so maybe I'll just ask a question. Do you like [b]all[b]the games on the list because there are some weird ones. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker for example. His music is pretty good even though I was born in '94 after his arrest, it still has a good sound to it. I just thought it was a weird choice because the fact the MJ is saving children. Back in '89 when the game released it might not have made a lot of sense but now it makes perfect sense. Put the game in though, this isn't a complaint, I just thought it was a weird choice cause everyone I know hates him 100%. I always thought the cutscene when he yells "Owww" was hillarious, his mouth just turns into a giant circle. LOL!!!

I would also like to request the Beta version of Rockman 3, yet you have to contact Gauntlet of the Mechanical Maniacs Mega Man 3 site first. That was a cruel april fools joke, He should be PUNISHED with 1,000,000 charged shots from Mega Man's buster. Sorry for the Trouble though, if he is a liar he needs punishment until he stops the gag. THAT WASN'T funny. We must find SOME way to get the beta, or we could find someone to HACK the beta version out of the original Rockman 3, since the original graphics and data SHOULD be there. There is evidence that it is still in the game such as the invincibility trick in the NES version. Also, there is the early Rush adaptor trick because the Beta should have had the Rush enhancements from the start. Oh, and Proto Man transforms into Break Man in Gemini's stage at the exploding hole. This information should help someone to hack the game to it's original Beta and start on it soon. So Sorry for the trouble. :'( :'( :'( :( >:(
Oh, and a SNES emulator for Java would be great, yet it isn't stable enough yet.

The Japanese version has save states instead of passwords and it does not have armorles Samus and I think the music is supposed to be better. It can not be added.

I think the Protoman hack is just a color change and I don't want to add those types of hacks.

I would also like to request Contra in the Japanese version if allowed because the text is different, the backgrounds are animated, it has an actual introduction in which there is an image of the planet Earth, there is a map, and there are cutscenes which feature a walki-talki (tell me if I misspelled Walki-talky) towards the beginning stages and Machine Gun Firing cutsenes toward the final stages, oh and I would also like to request Hitler No Fukkatsu, Top Secret for the NES (the Japanese version of Bionic Commando which contains the original text and a few different stages and more 1ups and powerups lying around. The denied list does only apply to the English version. However most likely the Japanese version will have the same error. You can request it though and I will double check. But if the game requires reading - like an RPG - then unless you can read that language don't request it. Example - Japanese Contra = OK. Japanese Shining Force = Not OK unless you can read Japanese.

If that is not the cause of your save loss, let me know the last time you successfully used the save and when you first noticed that it did not work.

I am not going to add Game Boy games right now. When I do add Game Boy games it is possible that Legend of Zelda The Oracle Of Ages and Legend of Zelda The Oracle Of Seasons will not be added because they have bugs that can not be fixed. Gamecube? That console being emulated on Java would take 1,000 years before it is stable enough for Java. How do you get Gamecube to work on Java when SNES is currently unstable for Java? Any suggestions, rjk93? I have an answer. YOU CANNOT EMULATE THE GAMECUBE on Java when you CANNOT emulate the SNES on Java! And that is what sabby meant by saying "You're kidding, right?" (note: a ton of exaggeration and i was thinking for a while that minor (or major) edits to the Genesis emulator may allow SNES emulation as Kong mentioned in the post below. however, due to lack of knowledge and time, some of us (including me) are unable to take the time to do so.)

but how would you put L and R for the controls? first of all, you need four fingers on the keys for a,b,x, and y, then you have the other hand on the arrow pad, and plus you need start, and select, but you can always move you hand for that

Little Big Adventure requires DOS4GW (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOS4GW), a DOS extender which is not supported. Most advanced/newer DOS games require a DOS Extender and so will not be added.

There isn't an expansion pack for Wroms on Genesis.

Resident Evil for NES is 1) all in Japanese and I doubt you will be able to get far without reading Japanese and 2) I can not find the needed files for it.

Super Mario World for Genesis is a hack of a Chip and Dale game. It is nothing like Super Mario World. And it does not work.

Shockwave and Flash can not run a game console emulator at full speed.

For the DOS games think more along the lines of Frogger and the first Donkey Kong game than Elder Scrolls and SNES emulators.

Early PC games ran in DOS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOS) instead of Windows. Those were games that were similar to the ColoecoVision games that we have online now. They will probably be the next games that are added after we finish NES and Genesis. NES is about 99% finished. Genesis is probably about 40% finished.

Game manufactures still make games for DOS but the new games require DOS Extenders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOS_extender) to make DOS powerful enough to handle them. Example Fallout and Elder Scrolls and ZSNES. Those can not be added online.

So when I say DOS games will be added next, I mean after Genesis is finished and computer games from the mid-80s.

GameTap is not online. They use off-line emulation. You have to download their software and install it and then download the games. When they first came out, a couple years ago, I tired installing the trial version of their program and it crashed my computer :( I don't think they offer PS 1 and 2 or SNES emulation either.

and just to add to what Kong said about this I am sure Kong would love to put Snes games on this web site but no one has made a viable working Java Emulator to support those games... yes they do have emulators for snes but not a java coded one...

Additional info added on March 7th 2008: I am not taking new requests right now. I will add a big chunk of new games around July and after that I will start taking new requests again. But for now most games that can be added and that you would request will be added this summer. So there is not a need to request them right now.

but probably not in the near future because Kong the Creator is spending most of his time creating a newer faster upgraded retro uprising that he hopes will be done in a few months so he has added to that thread that he is not taking requests right now because he has a lot of new games already that he is putting on the new site so your request may already be on the list.

but after the site update if you dont see Metal Slug 3 for coin op i would ask again at that time.

to answer your question it might not be added for a while kong is working tirelessly on developing a new site for us all to enjoy

i am acctually suprised he added the other two games a few days ago

but in summary be patient because in the super long run we will all be enjoying a greater better site
