All three are Jap-release only. Wagyan Land 2 and 3 would only be playable if translated (boss battles require extensive language knowledge). Spartan X is the J-release-only sequel to Kung Fu. It doesn't require translation and at a time was on OnVGP. I beat Spartan X while it was hosted on OnVGP without detecting any glitches.

kong did not make any emulator these emulators come from other people

you cant use a normal emulator such as Snes9x because it does not program with html (web based language) the snes emulator is programed in C and you can not mix C with HTML it just wont work thats like trying to use english as chinese they are different

but Java is desinged to work with HTML so that is why you need a Java Snes Emulator so it can be placed online.

and before you ask

it IS possible to make a java SNES emulator it really should not be that difficult... it just that for some reasone NOONE has

a few people started to make one and got it to work with a few games but have since stoped working on it... I would love to learn Java and make one my self and get all the credit for making the first one but I dont know Java but am going to be taking some classes so we will see but that wont be for a long long time...

Additional info added on March 7th 2008: I am not taking new requests right now. I will add a big chunk of new games around July and after that I will start taking new requests again. But for now most games that can be added and that you would request will be added this summer. So there is not a need to make requests right now.

No they will not. A large chunk of them will be added all at the end of the summer. There actually isn't a need to request individual MSX games until after the large chunk of them are added.

Same goes for WS and WSC. You can still request stuff but most likely those games will be added at the same time regardless of your request.

It is very unlikely that any more TG-16 games will ever be added. Nearly any TG-16 game that hasn't been added yet has a bug. If everything else is completely finished (several years from now) then we might go back and double check for a few TG games that could be added. So the short answer, last. GBA will be second to last.

That isn't the problem. Most games use a standard set of features that the original game system offered. Some of the games try to be fancy and push the limits of the system by using a obscure feature of the system. Those features are not supported by our emulators and so the game can not be played online.

That is the reason why 99% of the reason why no more TG games can be added. Genesis has multiple reasons. I think that is a hack and it is probably because it has not been tested. If it is listed in the first post of this tread then that is the reason.

to answer your questions (which were answered already) Minish Cap was a GBA game? if so its the second to last system Kong is worried about.. so i guess its a no.

EDIT: That isn't the problem. Most games use a standard set of features that the original game system offered. Some of the games try to be fancy and push the limits of the system by using a obscure feature of the system. Those features are not supported by our emulators and so the game can not be played online. How come these features are not supported by our emulators? Also is this is why some games have bugs and glitches? And is this they reason why there's no Java Based SNES emulators yet or is that cause of a different reason?

@Kong: I think you made a typo in your first post cause I'm pretty sure that "Super Mario World" was on SNES and not Genesis

Disk Operating System. When you see a black screen with white text saying c:\ That is DOS. Lots of old computer games played in DOS. Even some modern ones do. There are some amazingly cool DOS games but they mostly require DOS Extenders. Which gives them access to more memory. If you like ColecoVision then you should get excited about the addition of some old DOS games.

There is a pirate version of Super Mario World for Sega Genesis.
Pirate means some company (nearly always Chinese) made an unofficial/unlicensed game. Normally they copy games from other systems. A great example is Super Donkey Kong for NES also Kart Fighter for NES, Somari for NES, King of Fighters for NES, Berzerk for Genesis and Super Mario World for Genesis. They are different from hacks because they are all original programing code and usually put on cartridges and sold on black market.

And Tanc, all of your DOS game requests require DOS extenders so they will not be added.

Just an update on what I've been doing.

I've been toying with the headers of some Gen roms that are currently not on the site. I've got about 8 or so done. With any luck they'll work with the Emu now. After Kong brings in the next game update I'll toss what experiments I have his way.

I've also been working on re-routing the mappers for Castlevania III and Startropics roms for the NES. It's a lot of work and slow paced but interesting because I'm still very new at it. It is fun to try and figure it out though.

I've also came across a NES Jap-to-Eng translation we don't have and a few fun hacks.

No, sorry. Like I stated, these are just tests to see if I have the hang of modding roms. If one or more of them work I'll know what to do and the process will be sped up exponentially.

I went through the new flash games and I saw 2 problems and since there is not topics for those games yet I will put it here.

the game Bat and Mouse would not load so I deleted it because there is another game that was added called bug juice that is the exact same game but different graphics and bug juice works ;)

the second is Ice Cream Blowout I left this one on if someone else could verify if it works for you because it did not for me I would have removed it but I dont remember what this one was.

also I add some scoring descriptions to the games I thought needed it.

I fixed 173 Game Boy games today that cause the Red X that could crash your browser. Most of these games are Japanese and will probably still need to be removed.

That list has just been finished. I removed all games that glitched while loading or required the ability to read a lot of kanji to play. I would guess about 60% were removed.

Elysion is a RPG/Eastern game that was in Japanese. I'm looking forward to playing this one myself.

Storehouse No. 18 is a Strategy/Puzzle game that came out on the Russian Famicom clone, the Dandy. It reminds me a lot like Boxxle for the GB.

Youkai Club is a Platform/Standard that required you to read Japanese kanji. It looks like a combination of SMB1 and Castlevania.

Look forward to some "overhaul" hacks soon. Overhaul hacks are when the game has been completely altered and features new areas, a new plot, and such so that it resembles the original game very little. Including a couple for Mega Man for Tails. ;)

I did not create the translations nor overhauls. I merely found patches and applied them to the appropriate roms.

The only two languages I'm capable of are English and French. I do speak a smattering of Japanese (equivelant to how a two year-old speaks) but I can not read kanji.

What system?

After some healthy digging I got a large group of Famicom translations coming down the pipeline. There will be a whopping total of 74 translations I'm hoping to start work on by Wednesday. This should result in the largest update to the NES section since "lite mode" was made available.

Included in this update will hopefully be a bunch of RPGs, a Technos game, a couple DBZ games, the sequels to some games already here, and a never released in America Mega Man game.

That aside, we will attempt to include as many games a possible when we add those two systems to the site. MSX will come first and it'll take a while to add all those games and mod them all. If it works with the emulator we will be using then we will include it.

I'm not trying to come off the wrong way when I say this, but I don't think it should matter what your opinion of a game is when it comes to a particular game being added to the site. One person requesting a game that is capable of being added should be enough to get the game added, even if the game is an absolute pile of dog boo-boo.

and when we went through them I would ask for super mario rampage to be removed because it required no skill and no talanent and just push the space bar

you dont have to download anything to use this site and there is no existing java SNES emulator.

and its alot of work to program a java SNES emulator that is why no one has done it yet.

and if your board with over 2000 games I dont think your playing the right games.

you should make a new topic and tell us what type of games you like and we will give you some suggestions
