That sounds like a cool idea!It cold be next to the game window like on kongregate.I would definately use it, as long as most of you don't act like weirdos.
I'm not against it, as long as it's not a distraction. It would be nice if there was a way to open and close it. I probably wouldn't use it very much though.
I think it should be on the home page and at the side of every game (e.g. If I am playing Starfox there will be a chatbox to the left hand side and an option to hide it).Check nonoba.com and kongregate.com to see what I mean.
P.s. I am not advertising, I am just trying to show you what I mean.
Lol don't tell me you mean a voice chat room. There would be so many people in there that it would sound worse than the noise a coleco vision game makes. That's right, I just said that.
I am strongly against a voice chat because it is wierd to "talk" to people who you truly don't know anywhere but the website.
As for the text chat box, there should be a button to show and hide the chat box on every page at the top by the menu bar. Like right between the Forum and FAQ buttons.
@RUnachos What's wrong with colecovision games. I love the sounds on them, they sooth in some sense.
pop up window that can be opened or closed would probably be best
and this feature would work well with the netplay feature of snes to find someone to play.
I think it's a good idea. I don't like chatrooms really at all so I'd like an option to turn it off in my profile, I don't wanna have to close it everytime I open RU.
It would give people a place to chat and reduce any spam on the forums. It's all good to me. As long as it doesn't lag the site or something like that.
I think being able to close it would be crucial. IMO, most chat boxes consist of roughly 25% benign chatter and friendly gamesmanship, and 75% inappropriate flaming, sexual (non-funny) jokes, and other annoying clutter...and it WILL happen regardless of its original intentions. It would be nice to have the option, though.
