So anyways my friend and I went to Cici's last night and had lots of fun with the only arcade game there worth playing......

(This isn't me, this is my friend)
After he lost it was my turn. I've gotta say that I haven't had so much fun playing games in forever. Before Ms. Pac Man I took a shot at Galaga, I got a score of somewhere aruond 150,000 on wave 22. The high score was 540k 0.o;. But anyways, playing Ms. Pac Man, that 4 way arcade stick was just SO PERFECT and PRECISE and AWESOME. I was so amazed at how different it felt from an a 360 degree analog stick.
When my score got to around 100k, I had already lost 2 lives, and I only had 1 spare left. At that point I seriously doubted I would take the high score, which was 140k. My friend then told me to beast this game. So I did. As I slowly saw my score count up by 10 with each dot, the image of those digit beat themselves right into my head, and slowly filled my thoughts. At some point those white pixels were all that filled my mind. It was seriously all I could see. Each increase of my score was as the beat of a massive drum in my mind. All I knew was the current score, and not to touch the ghosts.
I suppose that's what you call being in the zone =P.
So eventually......

The bananas are what saved me. They are worth 5,000 each. Without them I would never have taken the score. Pro tip: Don't ignore the fruit.

Bonus pic, yeah this is me, ScoreGaloreHawk in the flesh =P. I felt like I was posing for a Twin Galaxies validation picture lol.
Afterwards we played a ton of Dig Dug on his PS1 at his dorm.
It was a really fun night so I thought I'd share =).
Thanks everyone. It was a fun time. Even though that score will be wiped out when the machine gets turned off I still feel like I accomplished something =P.

I don't think its bad.......the buffet at 7 dollars is not a bad deal. If you dip it in pizza sauce its good =).
...And where did you eat this amazing pizza Tails?
Now that you mention it, I used to have this really great pizza all the time, usually along with a few friends of mine. The cool thing is that someone would always just leave it right in the middle of the street for me. As soon as I'd pick it up and take a bite I always felt like my health was completely restored. I think I have a photo of it somewhere...
+1 for the pic. I think it's even funnier because you seem to be totally focused on that pizza. Forget about the mutant badguy or the girl in distress, that's generic pizza!
This machine is the most beautiful thing in the world. There are a long time I had a chance to play at an original classic arcade machine, excepting Neo Geo gabinets - there is one on every corner.
Around here, the most common today are pirated MAME based machines, with hundreds of games - quite boring, seems I'm playing my PC emulator.
More sadly yet, I'm a poor Ms. Pacman player. Many years of playing for nothing. But I love that girl.

So that is true in Brazil as well?
In Puerto Rico, Neo Geo cabinets are everywhere. They are usually Taito's white "Egret" series. Puzzle Bobble and Metal Slug are common. King of Fighters is still popular in some arcades.
(For those who don't know, this is Taito's Egret cabinet, 99% of the time for Neo Geo games)

If you go to the older district sometimes you can see ancient machines, I have seen a pinball machine based off of Super Mario Bros. 3, it did not work unfortunately. There are also original Donkey Kong arcade machines kicking around, and also some Nintendo Vs. Series games (NES games converted for AC).
This Ms. PacMan machine was great, when people say that games look better on a proper CRT montitor, they mean it. The game looked wonderfully crisp and clear on that screen.

Really. Here, King of Fighters is almost as popular as soccer between youngsters. No kidding.
Taito has been present in Brazil too, most notably in the 1980's. Mainly with pinball machines, as the legendary Cavaleiro Negro and my prefer, Cosmic. See one of those running is rare today.
But my first videogames' contact were on old machines from, or licensed by, Taito. Phoenix and Jungle King, to mention only two games.

Ha, I played a SMB3 pinball Machine and it worked great. It was at this park thing my Mom's work rented. also had this Sonic ticket game with coins.
It was a lot of fun. When I was a kid we all went to the arcade whenever we could(and if we had any money). The games were set to ridiculously hard but that was part of the fun.
