There were a few titles lacking or in bad placement but I agree with the genral angle of the list.

That list says "I hate 3D gaming" all over it.

I'm also suprised Ocarina of Time was that low.

I like pretty much all the games on the list but I think a lot of them are in strange places on the list. Why is FF7 so high and OoT so low? Yeah FF7 has a huge cult following but I think it's safe to assume that OoT has more fans and less haters. Weird but at least they didn't completely forget about PC games like every other list, Starcraft and Warcrafts made the cut.

The guy definitely made a personal list, and while it's not close to what mine would be, it's mostly respectable.

That was a bad list, outside of the top ten.
Even the top ten was a bit problematic. They could have released just the top ten list as "Top Ten Games of the Twentieth Century". Sure I love retro games, but sometimes new games are deserving of placement on a list.
As much as I hate to say it, Halo should have been on the list (and fallen around seventy-five). It was nearly an almost halfway decent game, and it did have an impact.

Like I said, this was obviously a personal list and the guy just cited games that he is experienced with.
The problem with the top 100 lists is that nobody has played every game, and trying to get a group of people who combined have played them all is just going to result in a bad list that not a single one of them agrees with.

I do like that he doesn't cite the popularity of the games in his reasons for picking them.
I know it may seem like something I've said before, but:
Metal Gear Solid should really be on this list. There are actually reasons for it too, not just the fact that I am extremely biased towards it. The story was great, the gameplay was something fairly new and you were required to really think about everything you did, not just run in with a gun and shoot people down. Doing that was likely to get you killed. I also like the fact that you will be feeling the impact of using an item later on, when you don't have it. Items were not easy to come by.

So Steven, I see you bet on Carwin too.

MGS wasn't on this list? That's criminal to not have it on a top 20 list.
Was Street Fighter III on this list? It deserves a place on any top 100.

I think people were just *disappointed that SFIII had so few characters in common with SFII, I guess everyone just wants to see the same roster of characters hundreds of times over.

People hate III because it has little to do with the series even though the gameplay was far
superior in Street Fighter III. I miss playing Third Strike...

I do like SFIII much better than SFII, but I have to say, I like the Alpha series best, with Alpha 3 MAX being one of my favorite PSP games.

I grew up on the Alpha Series. Guy and Ken were my mains, then Cody.

I still have Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, we should play online sometime.

Street Fighter Alpha is when I lost interest in the series. I understand the need to innovate but counters, combos and limits just aren't my thing.

the list was just a mess. Even though Star Fox was higher than OoT that still doesn't mean OoT should be that low on the list

@Tenser: Then you'd hate SFIII because it pushed those even further.

But I think you'd like Super Street Fighter IV Tenser, they made it much simpler.

What is with them and the wrong pictures/names? They called SUPER BOMBERMAN Bomberman.. they showed the SNES version (I think) of Dr. Mario which they said NES... I also disagree with this list, DD2 should be way higher.

Also, again... Any reason why Goldeneye yet again beats PD? No comment, it's just a terrible decision. First big thing. YOu're at home by yourself and you have the choice between playing the multiplayer mode in PD or Goldeneye. Gee, maybe you pick the one with better bots, maps and weapons - Perfect Dark.

I'd get motion sick playing that one, just watching the way the floor moves compared to the wall. Still impressive though.
