DS version
Hi everyone, I've been thinking about getting a DS since it's cheaper now, and I was wondering which model of the DS I should get DS, DS lite, DSi or DSi XL?
Oh, and any suggestion on the games? I was thinking about the Pokemon Silver remake, and I'm not sure if it came out stateside, but there was a new Shining Force game, but other than that, any thoughts?
And does SMT: Strange Journey seem worth it?

Re: DS version
You gotta get them all!
I'd go with the DS XL. I like the big screen. As for the games...there's tons to choose from I would imagine.

Re: DS version
At least one of the DS exclusive Castlevanias is a must have. They are all amazingly fun, deep, and works of art in their own right.

Re: DS version
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is a damn good game.
You should also get The World Ends With You.
As for the version: get a DS lite if you want to play GBA games and Guitar Hero, otherwise the DSi or DSi XL.
Because it has larger screens, XL is worth it if you have the money but the normal DSi is perfectly fine.

Re: DS version
Why not wait and save up and see what the 3DS is before you commit?
If you love puzzle gaming you mustget Picross 3D

For the puzzle games, I'd recommend Meteos, Puzzle Quest, and Polarium.
DS just has great puzzle games.

Re: DS version
I thought puzzle quest was lame.

In fact the only puzzle game for the DS that I would reccomend is Peggle Duel Shot. I normally can't justify paying full price for a puzzle game period, but Duel Shot is an exception, I have had it for a couple of years, and just played it tonight. Highly addicting.
It's perfect for those times where your so stressed, or exhausted that the effort of playing a video game is too much, you just sit back and shoot a few balls.

'Cause I'm not a fanboy
and I'm not spending the money for the new handheld, I'm getting a DS because it's gone down in price. I see no justification for buying the 3DS honestly, I just want it as an occasional thing, it's not going to get played a lot, so I'm not going to invest the money into it.

Re: DS version
If you want to play GBA games get the DS Lite. If not, get DSi or DS XL.
As for game recommendations..
Pokemon (Soul Silver or HeartGold)
Kingdom Hearts: 365/2 Days
Mario Kart DS
Those are just a few suggestions of games I think are good.

Scribblenauts (my attempt at spelling it) was really good, I was blown away by the amount of things you can generate.

God on a horse, using a sword VS. Satan on a Walrus, using a chainsaw.
I can't remember who won, but they went on to attack me so I summoned Death. Death won that one.
