Your Best Sonic Games

Some parts of the internet would have you believe that Sonic can't do 3D. That unlike Mario, he's at his best when he's speeding through 2D platform levels. It seems that Sega appear to listen to these people which is perhaps why the forthcoming WiiWare game Sonic The Hedgehog 4 sees the hog returning to his roots. They're giving the fans what they want. Or are they?

We asked Sonic fans on our forum to pick their favourite Sonic games and the resulting top 10 thew up some interesting results. Before we start with the list, there's one bit of housekeeping. Voters were allowed to pick any game from Sega's Sonic series, including spin-offs such as Shadow The Hedgehog.

I thought Sonic 3 would be number one and Sonic cd would be in top 5. I like both of them

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was the best Sonic in my opinion, then Sonic CD.

Worst is either StH: 2006 or Sonic R.

Not a bad list, Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast was awesome, and I didn't think it would be on a list, because most lists overlook the Dreamcast.
