They really aren't bad games, and if I had to pick one, it would certainly be the original.

MK Trilogy is still the best in my view as things were more balanced. For one the Run button almost completely eliminated cheese ball low skill players who would just rely on spamming with Sub-Zero/Scorpion.
The thing is, with Cage, he was one of the fastest characters, had great anti-air attacks, great projectiles, and could really score well with big corner trap combos and general combos.
Unfortunately, when MK went 3D most of the characters became weaker and were not as recognizable as they were in previous games.
