Ps1 rpg

This is coming off of what I can remember so try and bear with me;

I remember you start off in a village, you go train in fighting with some guy (I think he was bald) then (I believe they were) ghosts that attack the village or spirits or something they were jet black then you kill all them and you set off to find your father or something like that...

Then the game demo ended there

...now that was all from recollection, if you guys can't figure it out then it's OK, don't worry. Also it was for Playstation 1

I know what the game was I played it before on demo and rented a long time ago
