psp SNES emulator
i wanted to be able to play snes or nes games on my psp, so i downloaded this emulator thats supposed to let me supposedley. i downloaded it, on the download list i clicked and went to "open containing folder", then extract, then it took me to the folder for the emulator, i opened it and was taken to this: (attachment)
i tried to copy it to the folder "PSP" then "GAME", i thought it would work. i unpluged my psp and went to the GAME" slot in my psp itself, i tried to start it but it said it was corrupted. im not good with real technical stuff like this, can someone maybe help me out? is there something i have to do with the pbp eboot file also? and if i have a snes or nes emulator on my computor, and have rom files for the games, can i use those for the psp?

---------- Post added at 10:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:46 PM ----------
and roms, do you know where i would get roms, is there a certain type i need, or can i just use the roms i use on my laptop for my emulators
edit: meh it seems to be up there i saw it and tried it but it says "This game cannot be started. the data is corrupted". i hate when stuff is complicated like this or doesnt work half the time...

Re: psp SNES emulator
running any emulator on a psp depends on the firmware and the model. you need to have firmware 1.50 or custom firmware. and either the model 1000 or a specific model 2000.

whats the firmware, and i suppose 3000 wont work, it really sucks i cant get this to work, i kinda wished it would have, ive been wanting to get into some old games again latley, since i cant do it on the comps. at school, this would be much more convenient.

Re: psp SNES emulator
Theres gotta be a way to do it, if the psp community is anything like the ds community.

Re: psp SNES emulator
Your PSP has to be modded. If you aren't at least a little tech-savy you should find a friend that knows how to do it or you may be out of luck.

Re: psp SNES emulator
what is the pandora battery, isnt that when you open it up and mess with something on the inside? i wouldnt be willing to do something like that unless my psp was a piece of junk, but it still works fine, so no need to turn it into junk

No physical modification required, this is a 'soft-mod' a modification to the software that can be easily undone.
The Pandora battery is used to trick the PSP into thinking it has no firmware. Someone with custom firmware would create it, then load up the custom firmware to the PSP being modded, and then use the new firmware's recovery menu to make the battery normal again. It is harmless to the PSP, even you can't load the new firmware, you can always use a regular battery and it would go back to normal.
