A quick google search of both shows Wham is the most common. If urban dictionary lists it then it must be true, right?

That is the only way I've ever heard that phrase. And as to what the origin, I'm not sure if this is the first apperance of the phrase but, I first heard it sung by David Bowie in his song "Suffragette City." The year was 1976 when the single was released.
