Graphics: 5/5
It has some of the best Sonic graphics, on the SMS. The backgrounds could have been better, but the sprites are just so good, I give it high five!

Gameplay: 4/5
Same style as Sonic 1 though, I hate having to scavenger hunt to collect the Chaos Emeralds. The Special Stage (kinda) is different, too (it's ok, but I prefer the other)

Controls: 5/5
Because of the SMS controllers, it's pure niche and simple.

Sound: 4.25/5
The music is pretty good, the sound is okay, too. I just wished they could have try to replicate the Labyrinth and Scrap Brain Zone songs as 8-bit instead of replacing it with completely different music.

Replay Value: 5/5
I like playing this game a lot, thus makes me wanna play it a lot. Nothing is wrong, making this game near-perfect.

Overall: 4.65/5 = 93%
For a 8-bit rendition of Sonic 1, it fares out very well. This is probably my favorite Master System game of all time...in the United States.

Really hated this game, so many freaking bugs in it, and it's so blocky. I only liked the Genesis Sonic games just about.
