xbox 360 controller

I plugged my 360 wireless controller and my comp said it recognized it..what do i do now? how can i make it work for games on here? do i have to find the program and set up controller config? i also found a dl for it on microsoft's web site..but it says for 64 bit only..will that work? will i be able to play arcade games still..with only 64 bit? this is making my brain hurt..lol btw..microsoft site also had 32 bit too..dl thought 64 bit..since higher would be one i would want..anybody know? ty

I just wanna stop having to use keyboard..if possible..

If it now recognizes the controller that's the first step. Next start a game and hit TAB. This will bring up a menu, one of which is to assign controls. Next all you have to do is choose which button you want to assign to which function and you should be good to go in most games.

Actually, I don't think it's that easy.

Download Xpadder. Download Xpadder 5.3 - Simulates keypresses and mouse movements using a gamepad - Softpedia

Then configure it. Basically you push the button on the controller, and then assign a key on your keyboard that it will be.

You need to download the xbox files from Microsoft. Go here and answer their four questions. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/do...ategory=Gaming

32/64 bit is referring to the version of windows you are running. If you do not know what you are using then it is probably 32.
