Re: Beatles' Stuff
Eh, I like some of their songs, but not most of them.
My favorite one they've sung has to be Twist and Shout, and they didn't even write that song.
Otherwise I would have to go with Hard Day's Night.

Yes, and I really wish there were more songs like it. I first heard it when I was watching Farris Bueler's day off.

Re: Beatles' Stuff
There are more songs like it. Pretty much every song from the Beatles' early work has a similar sound.

And for the record, I am a fan of the later work. Sergeant Peppers all up in here.

I prefer their earlier work more, all their later work sounds fine, but it's all a little to slow for my tastes. It's all good, it's just not my thing.

Re: Beatles' Stuff
I like a good amount of Beatles stuff but Twist and Shout is kinda weak I thought. I'm not trying to call you an idiot DN I just can't understand how you prefer that song over the others in that huge library of works.

Srg. Pepper was awesome. My favorite song(s) is a 3-way tie between While My Guitar Gently Weeps, A Day In The Life, and Eleanor Rigby.
Most of the songs like Twist and shout were 'shallow' and more up-beat and rock&roll while. John liked to do those types while Paul liked to make more deep and rythmic songs like Live & Let Die and others. Its easy to guess who wrote what song.

Re: Beatles' Stuff
I went to a Beatles/John Lennon tribute concert tonight for the anniversary of Lennon's death. It was pretty dope. 29 years. Crazy.

Look above. I posted a version that I put a bit of a modern stereo touch on. That, and my I Am The Walrus one is my most complicated one- changing volumes, varying quick "wahwah" effects, and 4 different versions playing at once, all to make it sound good. They work best with stereos and bass boost headphones. Still, Strawberry Fields is up above somewhere.

Still good though. Damn good, I don't deny it, but the songs they wrote then aren't my cup of tea. I prefer classic rock as a music style. I could listen to Elvis nearly all day.(Did that yesterday in fact)

I would say the opposite. Pop rock Beatles is just very typical to me, but they made some fantastic music after all that.
