Smittycal, I was inspired to start this thread by your avatar.

I hope you are not offended.

FIRST, I believe this discussion will be vastly more interesting if it is kept open to include BOTH MALE AND FEMALE characters so as to not exclude any female members who may have some thoughts to share on this matter.

I mean which characters you girls think are hot, not what a sexist pig you might think I am for having brought it up in the first place.

Please start a new thread about that one if you absolutely must.
Alternatively you could chew me out for it in a personal message.

SECOND, I needed to start a new thread about something fun and so let's please keep it CLEAN

and no 'dirty' talk

about game characters no matter how HOT they are, thank you.

UMMM why would I be offended to talk about good looking game girls lol...

SAMUS is always at the top of my list(Metroid)
Chun Li has ALWAYS been my wife lol (I hated to make her cry when I lost with her)
Onechanbara. Shes from a japanese zombie hack and slash game but she does it all a bikini (Yeah Japan!!)
The girl from WET...im not sure what her name is but I love her character design...plus who dosent like girls with guns?

Gilius Thunderhead? He is my favorite character in Golden Axe, but I don't like him in that way. To each their own, though. I was more of a Tyris Flare fan as well (especially in her costume in GA I).

In response to your concern regarding the attractiveness of the character 'Roll',
I think it's ok to see beauty there and in similar places.
If it were not then the manga and anime industries would not have made in out of Japan in the first place.

After all, it's just the fantasy zone and if we were to have someone to be concerned about in that regard
(assuming we're talking about what may be deep in that person's mind which allows them to see a certain thing as attractive or cool)
then I think we should be looking to those who enjoy the gory anime and similar fantasy violence, like video games.

Where this fantasy violence parallels the real world, in other words real violence where death is the final result, is a distasteful and frightening place most do not see as attractive or cool.
Thankfully.
Certainly the same could be said for people who find cute girls, like 'Roll', attractive in some way since their real world equivalent is just as distasteful.

Again, we are talking fantasy zone so none of that really applies.

I understand some people on RU enjoy playing games like CHILLER, which is in the coin-op section. (aim sensitivity is too high, BTW)
Chiller is an incredibly gory game with hideously dark themes, (and that is what makes it entertaining, like a horror movie) which I am certain no one would ever consider acting out in real life.

In conclusion, and going back to the issue of 'Roll' and other young anime and game girls,
they are often referred to (in real life especially) as
JAIL BAIT
and this designation in itself implies that:

Societies in general acknowledge they are indeed attractive despite the legal implications of acting on that attraction.

it is no secret that video game chicks are designed to be good looking, gotta get that target demographic interested. I think a more interesting thread might be which video game characters are unattractive.

hmm...

Maria from Symphony has always been hot to me. Especially as a playable character int eh saturn version. Hot, and could kick ass^^

Aya and Reiko from onechanbara: bikini zombie slayers for WII were also cool.

Alot of the Dead or alive girls are also very good looking. (honestly I spent most time plaing Ryu though.. XP)
Im sure there are many others, im a relativly simple guy XP.
