Re: high scores
Yeah, but you want to feel like you earn those trophies you take right? Where's the fun in getting an easy trophy?

Re: high scores
well like i said, i don't mind competing for the score, that's a big part of the fun of this site for me, but i noticed my experience is getting all out of whack with it. maybe it's just me but i don't think we should have to compete for experience, i could be wrong tho.

Re: high scores
Your exp points do fluctuate a bit with back and forth trophies, but you also gain exp other ways too (i.e. posts, tournaments, etc.). I have had fun competing with you and Dojah. You guys can really bring it. Still remember before they were "your" trophies they were probably someone elses, so it's about holding onto it. Great Carnival score by the way!

Re: high scores
yeah you're right man. i enjoy competing with you and dojah the most, gamenguru just kinda gets on my nerves. and some of davidmans scores i believe are farmed, cause i play really well and i can't come close to most of his.

Re: high scores
Pass the blunt your smoking Justin. Ya know I can't stop competing. I have gave you a couple trophies because your apart of the Breed, and wanted/knew you would be great compitition. Take it as a compliment, because most of us know that you will fight back. And in the end we all improve greatly as gamers. You would have to say that you have got better at certain games due to the compitition right?

Without that the experience would almost be meaningless.
If you know how a score can be farmed you can report it. If a game mod agrees then it will be marked as farmable.
But only report it if you can explain how it is done.

Re: high scores
Keep at it. David is a really good player. I am pretty sure that most of his scores are the real deal. That's one of the things I like about RU. The level of competition is high, but for the most part the competition remains friendly.
Gamenguru is another good player, (and he is my brother too). Gaming kind of runs in the family.

What Kong said is true, though Justin. If you see a game that seems to have a suspicious score, let one of us (Mods) know. We can check it out if you think you know how this was done.

Re: high scores
that's doable, all i gotta do is take time out of defending my trophies to research the games. for davids age, if those scores are in fact legit, more power to him, that little dude has skills.

Yeah. He is a very good player, and a nice guy too. He was the #1 ranked player on the site for awhile.

Re: high scores
whether or not this could count towards farming i have no idea but i found that on nes games if you play on java score mode you can have save states. i noticed that you can save on raiden x and it is marked as a farm. to me i think it would be a pain in the ass to get scores that way, why leave the option open? just thought you'd like to know, if you didn't already.
oh btw if you look at double dragon 2, the gentleman that has that score has a few more that are really close, did he really play through the game that many times and rack up points the same exact way, i doubt it. you can go through and beat that game 20 times and i highly doubt you will have even close to the same score even once.
sorry if this kinda post pisses people off but god damnit, to me this seems like need to know information.

Double Dragon awards a different amount of points for different attacks.

Re: high scores
You can create a save in Score Mode. But you can not load. If you load a save state your score is not counted. Except in the case of Raiden X and it is marked as Farm because of that. The score for it got so high because of a contest a long time ago.
One of the NES Double Dragons, I think #1 but maybe #2, was looked into. The score was legit.
