google ads to support RU

i was just wondering instead of waiting that some one donates and fills up the limit for the month why dont put google ads on the site? i mean dosent suppose they give money to the owner of the site every time a user clicks on it?
RU haves a lot of members so i think if every one clicks on it one or twice a day the donations goals would be get much faster
iam not saying to quit the donations system just saying and idea to support the site for the people that just cant donate

That would be dumb of google, because someone could click an add for an hour and get as much money as possible. There are adds on the site. And Kong probably does get money for them (I guess) and that probably goes to the running of the site. The donations are for updating it.

i coul be wrong, but i think that its not neccessary to click the ad to earn .01 cents or something, site clicks are all thats required. be interesting/none of my business to see just what kong reaps from these ads

The ads cover the cost of hosting and paying for licenses and other expenses. There isn't anything left over after that.

The donations go towards time and other expenses related to site improvements.

It is against the Google's terms of service to ask people to click ads or to give any type of incentive.

There are Google text ads on nearly every page. The only reason you would not see them is if you have made a donation, are using an ad blocker or have banner blindness.

Google has mesurements to protect against "farming", you know.

So just do your job, and keep Kong happy, by clicking the ads one time per day.
