That's funny. My wife of 3 years is from Quebec actually. It's been 10 years since I spoke french in University. She has to work today and I am hoping she buys me a case a beer when she gets home.

Happy Canada day
This Scottish bloke goes on a skiing holiday to Canada.
After a hard day on the slopes he retires to a bar at the bottom of the mountain.
After about five or six whiskeys, he looks up and notices a stuffed animal with antlers on the wall.
He asks the barman, "What the heck is that?"
The barman says, "It's a Moose."
The Scottish chap says, "what! How big are the cats?"

It celebrates the day where the Canucks rolled over and played nice for the Brits long enough to be allowed to pretend they were independent.

Awww poor Canada.
I wish we had a day like this.
We have bonfire night though because of the legend Guy Falks!
Now he had the right Idea.

That time again, I'm in the nation's capital this year, so if I do decide to go see the fireworks it should be nuts.

Re: Happy Canada Day!
July 1, Yessir.Although pretty sure the Fireworks display here at the lake is on weekends no matter what day it's on. Wow, I'm at the lake 5 years running for canada day. Parents like the fireworks I think...
Although, it's been nothing but clouds today and the lakes cold... Not much of a good day.

Right you are. The real independence day is on the fourth. Don't mind those Canadians, they couldn't use a calendar to save their lives. They even think Thanksgiving is in October.
