Hi to everyone, a bit late with this
Just here to say hi to every1,
Im Matt and my favorite type of game is the side scolling type,
but all time favorite is the Mario games.
I'm really into a lot of the old school NES games as well
I'm not really into the fourms much and posting,
just more into playing the games,
but i guess i have -28 rep points,
and to get more i beleive i need to post more,
i have obtained about 15 trophies, and now my rep is down,
so just trying to get my rep up and obtain a lot more of the side scrolling game trophies

Hi to everyone, a bit late with this
Welcome to the forums, Matt! I'm sure you'll find that your fellow high-score competitors are actually great to chat with as well. Make yourself at home and, as always, Happy Gaming!

Hi to everyone, a bit late with this
Yep that was me, and I'll de-rep anyone who openly farms. You know TDR, there's farming, and then there's getting 400K on the first level of TMNT. Don't worry though I'll get my trophy again.
Ten strong words from a guy who can't get his Castlevania score back....
Oh and you can try and farm my other scores, but TMNT is about the only game were you can farm.

Extremely lame. I hate farming because it ruins the fun of the game. I got mad Castlevania skills and I know I could wipe the floor with him in a fair contest too.

So you plan on getting over 400k without farming? Also, it's funny when it happens to you.
Don't get me wrong, I still love ya Jason. Unlike Sabby, who had nothing but nasty words to say about you.:zipped:
In all seriousness though, it's best to just let it go. Enjoy the titles you have that you can't farm out.

Hi to everyone, a bit late with this
Yeah it is funny, but TMNT is kinda odd as it's not a linear game there are many deadends, and places you can go, but don't have to. Would that be considered farming? I don't know...
I was hoping that I could beat the game and then keep playing and add to my highscore, but no you start off fresh at zero.

Well first of all, no one said you couldn't farm. You're not a :ddq: member, so as long as you can live with yourself afterwards...
I myself consider farming doing anything knowingly that doesn't advance the game for the main purpose of acquiring points. A good example would be if say in TMNT you were down about half your life points and went down a known dead end because you know there's a pizza down there. That wouldn't be farming in my eyes. Good gaming strategy is never farming.

No not a :ddq: but :rc2: and being a Mod I think should carry with it some honor. Also seeing as I hate farming it seems wrong to do it.
I'm much more upset about Ninja Gadien than TMNT...

Tenser, did you think I would let this comment slide? You know better than to make things up. Now as for what you said, that needs to be discussed on a different thread on a different site.=}(This is me after some of the things you said, and I don't embarrass easily.)

Seeing as how Hobbes decided he wanted my 1943 trophy right after reading this:
Just a friendly tip TRD. You can find a level in an Adventure Island game that has a 1-up in it you can farm that level over and over again. Just make sure to die on that level and not clear it, the 1-up will be back every time. That's three trophies right there!

That may be true but I could always PM him on how to force lag himself, creating an effective slow motion effect. Kidding.
Also, you're not the only one with forum modding abilities. Did I say anything that was against forum rules?:zipped:

Decision was based on Admin. Thought it best until we worked it out.
And why would you try and force problems between me and Sabby? If you are so quick to air out dirty laundry why not just PM me the whole chat? Also why are you wasting your time talking about me? I graduated high school in 1997, and I prefer to leave it that way.

Worked what out? There's no ill will on my end. Actually, I don't think you realize how much respect I have for you. If there were three guys I could chill and have a beer and game with from here, it'd be Brody, Sabby, and yourself.

If I didn't bust your chops, that would mean I didn't like ya. I didn't realize you were taking it to heart. Yes, I made up everything Sabby said, he's too squeaky clean to say something bad about anyone I think. I guess I'll lay low for awhile, my bad.

Had to drag me in, didn't you? Shawn, Jason, Jeremiah - I hate all of y'all, but I do like beer and games, so just let me know when and where and I'll be there. :drunk:

I would say Sabby is squeaky clean. He's the kind of guy who would take a slap to the face and offer you the other cheek...he's the Space Knights' own personal savior!

Hi to everyone, a bit late with this
This is what happens when I go home from work, can't leave you guys for a minute.
:@:Tenser and Hobbes - You both know what are in the conversations. No need to lie here. You both know how much respect I have for the both of you, not only as gamers but as people.
:@:Tenser - Do not lay low, it's part of your "charm"
:@:BRODY - Hate, such a strong word to use. I know you have no disgruntled feelings toward anybody, really. I have no hate for my SK Brother or anybody here.
We're all one big happy dysfunctional family. We all don't have to agree, but we all can get along (and for the most part do). Differences make us interesting and fun. Think of how boring this world would be if everyone was the same.
As for being squeaky clean, thanks for the kind words from you all. Far from it, but thanks. I just try to treat people with respect because all people deserve some level or form of it.
This little "he said, he said" was a little childish, but aren't we all kids at heart (with the exception of those of you under 20, you're still kids to me). I may have grown up responsibilities but I REFUSE TO GROW UP!!! That's one of the reasons I come here, besides all the wonderful new people I have met here. Thank you all for your great posts and witty banter.
Can we game now?

Don't hold your breath on a :ddq: invite. I suggest trying out for SK as it seems they'll accept anyone into their clan.

At last check, our roster hasn't changed from the beginning of team competition.
And not to throw numbers at you (but I'm an accountant that's what I do)

Hi to everyone, a bit late with this
If we are going to win one, we would rather do it with our natural abilities. We won't farm, cheat, or lie to get or name in lights. We will do it naturally and the right way.
TRD: There is no such thing as a farmer badge. Also, if you farm too often, you will continuously get de-repped. I guess what I am saying is, don't farm the wrong person or you could end up with a really low rep. I typically don't check my scores that closely, but if I catch anyone farming my scores, I will definately de-rep them. If I get my scores naturally, I expect others to do the same. Happy gaming.

Hi to everyone, a bit late with this
Now jeckel, you know my view on farming, and dare I say, I agree with that portion of your DDQ charter. I can assure you that no one on any of the teams would farm. It's kind of like the unwritten rules in baseball (don't swing 3-0, don't steal a base in a blowout, etc.) It's not a rule here at RU, but everyone abides by the "unwritten gamer code" not to farm. The one time I was accused of farming, I was upset. I went through every hoop to proof the contrary. It was later found I didn't, but if you have any gaming ethics, you just don't farm. Sorry TRD, but like the DDQ, you probably will not get an invite from the Space Knights either. (Although it's not my decision who joins or not).

That is implying that the Space Knights two wins were underhanded. I for one feel I lost fair and square. That second time I was truly crushed. So much effort. So little badge.
