Too much stuff !

Hey guys,

I'm cleaning up my place, and I noticed that even after selling off so much stuff, the systems I decided to keep still are messy to keep around.

For example... I have 5 PC joysticks (7 if you count DDR mats). 7 console controllers, and all the various wires. I want to ditch them all but at the same time, what a waste. If I get rid of adapter X or Y I'll just want it again down the road.

What do you guys do to consolidate your collections ? Is this just video game hoarding syndrome ? I'm sure some of you guys with massive collections have some advice.

I usually just give them away to my younger cousins and niece/nephews.

The only systems I have now are Xbox, PS2 and Sega Dreamcast.

Retro Uprising keeps my really old school games consolidated quite well.

never get rid of anything!!!! they are trophies!!! my collection always got cut down whenever i wanted something bad enough, pawned for a new bike for instance

I just threw out a couple N64 controllers and an old NES(I still have an old front loader and my awesome top loader). I also ditched tons of cords and other crap I couldn't figure out the uses of. I'm sure I'll regret it but I'm impulsive like that.

I also tossed an old PS2 that didn't work. Kept my dreamcast though.

Ive got my Mega drive in a shoe box
i have another couple of shoe boxes for my games.
I used to keep my snes in a sports bag, not a rucksack like a one that goes over your shoulder one.
