Summer plans anyone?
Does anyone here have plans for the summer?
I haven't gave it much thought, but with the way things have been around work I might get lucky enough to get a couple 3 day weekends at best. If I do, hopefully I can spend some time up north Michigan camping on Lake Huron or something of that nature.
It really sucks too, because I have 70 hours vacation and 50 hours of personal time stacked up, but we can't take time off as of now.... until further notice.

plus my fella wants to come, and my juggalo homies dont realy like him because of what he has done to me in the past. But he will think im having a afair or somthing if I go wiithout him.
What am I to do?
I might be going to see my sister in Newcastle in late june, after my birthday.

Sit around and write. And really think about the meaning of life. I'm serious.
And think about whether or not I want to go back for my senior year.

Re: Summer plans anyone?
I am going to Japan for 2 weeks.
I was also going to go to Rock The Bells in Chicago, but it is when I am in Japan.
I am sure I will hit up tons of rap shows this summer, also. Thumbs up.

I'm considering chemical engineering. Are you considering some type of art curriculum? Last time I knew, you thought college was for suckers.

well i really want to get into doing concept art more than likely for video games. the problem with wanting to do concept art is that those guys are GOOOOOD, my digital painting is not at the level it needs to be to hang with those guys. so i could take the route of self teaching but id have to continue working in the mean time so i wouldnt be able to develope my skills at the rate id like. a good course is better idea i think. (plus i get to be a kid again )
as far as thinking college is for suckers, it is if your going to learn all that stupid stuff, "im majoring in philosiphy" always makes me laugh. (not to say that you cant get a good job this way, its just very rare)
going to a decent college and learning a trade is not stupid.
ive got a buddy who is a chemical engineer, i can pm you his email address if you have any questions you like to ask him.

If you are passionate about something don't give it up. Keep doing what you do and practice everyday, you'll eventually get to where you want to be. And no, school is not for fools. Knowledge = Power. Speaking of.... I need to take my butt back to school too.

If that's true tanc I wish you luck. I personally think it's a stupid idea but I know I can't stop people from doing it. Just try to stay well away from any bulls.

Re: Summer plans anyone?
I'm going with my Dad and my brother. It's my Dad's lifelong dream to see the event. We've all promised our wives that we won't run, but it will be very, very, tempting.
Not because I like to run in front of bulls, but because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. After all, it's not like you can get gored and trampled by a herd of angry bulls every day.

Re: Summer plans anyone?
I already thought you were nuts tanc, now I think you're borderline insane. Have a great time in Espana.
As for me, the usual family trip to NorCal to visit family and friends. Maybe a couple of golf outings, working in the yard, and getting everything set outside before the snow comes.

Re: Summer plans anyone?
Wow! You guys all sound like you have fun events planned. I'm not doing anything particularly exciting (just work & maybe gigs).
@ Tanc, if you do run, it will be a real opportunity to prove whether you are truly full of bull or not. (Waka! Waka! Waka!)
@ Sez, I'm sorry to hear about the jail thing. Can you not complete the service and avoid this somehow?
@ Sabby, yay another golfer IRL! I hit the links today and golfed my best game ever (down here in sunny Florida), not that that's saying much.
@ TMT, I am truly jealous. Have fun in the land of the rising sun.

Re: Summer plans anyone?
I played a quick nine Friday and was doing well (for me) with only 3 over after 8 until I shot a miserable 7 on a par 3 on the ninth hole.
