xpadder won't work

I installed xpadder and everything and when I select new the ps3 controller shows up on the xpadder thing not the image it reckognizes the controller. Every time it prompts me to press a button or move the control stick nothing happens when I follow instructions on the ps3 controller.

Help please.

1. The image is not mandatory. It just makes it easier. You have to manually add the image. It is not there automatically.
2. There is an instructions page just for aOX Score Mode because it is different.

I wasn't talking about the image, I was talking about entering the controls the ps3 controller shows up as "There" but anytime I press a button it doesn't pick it up

are you just setting everything up or are you trying to play a game?

I'm trying to set it up and the ps3 controller won't respond when it tells me to press left and I press left... nothing happens...

Cameron the other thing that you need to do is have the xpadder controller file open as well. It will not respond unless you have the control open.

you need a driver for the pc to recognize your controller ... I did not know about this since I do not have a PS3

yeah, i've had this problem too. i've also tried getting the driver on my pc for the ps3 controller, and it doesn't seem to work, so i think i'm going to give up on it and look for another controller that'll probably work with joytokey or some other program. i've literally spent hours trying to figure out how to get my ps3 controller to work; if anyone has any solutions, that would be AWESOME! otherwise, the ps3controller/xpadder thing just didn't work out for me and i'm giving up on it

I was wondering if anyone has used a USB RetroPort to play games here. From what I read it was pretty simple and less hassle but not sure.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The xpadder part should be the same with those as with an XBox 360. The Retro USB controls should be plug'n play. Connect the USB and wait a few seconds and it should be ready for xpadder. I have not tested it myself though.

I'm not going to download anything with the pc in this delicate state, I play a whole bunch of games that are easy on a keypad, I'll worry about it when n64 comes

hi i have the ps3 sixaxis file and it works great!, no before i download anything else, the only problem i have is trying to play games in the score mode, it keeps telling me i am hitting space and x only!? i can play every system here that i have tried so far.

so i figure i would follow up, i downloaded the xpadder and all i managed to get out of it is a can move the cursor up and down, but with the left ana stick, that i did not even program (arcadeox score mode). i mapped it and even matched the keys? ( it is annoying though that i have to shut my ps3 down all together or run the risk of actually turning it on!)

ok I am not sure of your problem Capri but arcadeox score mode requires more setting up then just regular full mode games I created a video tutorial of how to make the controller work in score mode. (you dont need xpadder for score mode your controler just has to work with the computer when plugged in)
