Rap and hip hop and why it's not good

What ever happened to good musicians like Elton John, Cher, Tina Turner or Paul Simon?! All music today is just rap and hip hop, which really isn't all THAT GOOD. I mean all it is is just foul language, glorified use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, and discrimination against everyone. Not to mention the repetetive and inaudible lyrics, People who can stand it must be CRAZY. I HATE IT!

I do think most modern rap is garbage but I don't assume my opinion is fact. I know for a fact that a lot of people love it.

I am a rapper. I do have talent. I challenge you to do the things that I do.

Music is based on personal taste. There is a lot of rap I hate. There is also a lot of rap I love. I also love Jazz, Blues, Rock And Roll, and pretty much every other genre or music.

Do you also feel people in rap BANDS (IE The Roots, Heiruspecs) have no talent? They do play instruments, after all.

For the record, I hate Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy...who else is popular these days? Soulja Boy? I hate him too.

Rap I love: Atmosphere, P.O.S., Aesop Rock. There is a very big difference, but it is all rap.

BTW i love aesop rock and atmosphere

it can be harder to write a rap song then a normal song
there are a lot more words in it
its like writing a big ass poem

He's pretty horrible. But again, I challenge anyone that claims these rappers "have no talent" to do what they do. Write a 4 minute song, make a beat for it and rap it in rhythm with an interesting flow. It's not even close to easy.
