Kirby 64
What does everyone think of this game? I'm curious because I've heard a lot of people say that they really liked it, but I didn't enjoy it that much. I felt like it was much too slow for a Kirby game, the combining powerup things were weird, and the gameplay was awful. I hated that it was in 3D but you could only move left and right. They should have either made it side scrolling or given you complete freedom to move in whatever direction you wanted, like Mario 64. I'm glad that they haven't made any other Kirby games for a console system since then, the handheld ones that stay true to the NES/SNES gameplay are MUCH better.

I'm talking about the main platformer games, not the spinoffs (although didn't that racing game for the gamecube get awful reviews anyway?)

IGN:5.2/10
"Simple? Sure. Intuitive? No. Read our full review"
yeah, it sucked.
I've never been a big kirby fan anyway. I have it on GBA, it's ok, but far too easy.

Re: Kirby 64
the kirby spinoffs have been great though, kirbys pinball, kirbys dream course, and canvas curse were all great

The only one I've ever played was Dream Course, which actually was a really fun game.

Re: Kirby 64
I love most things Kirby. Kirby Superstar was one of my favorite SNES games, and I have had every gameboy/GBA/DS one to ever come out and loved them all.
Kirby 64 sucked.

Re: Kirby 64
Kirby 64 is a okay game. I just don't like how they made it into a Klonia (or however it's spelled) clone. It makes the game confusing in places.

Klonoa
As I said before Kirby is fun, but far too easy, every one I've played.

Re: Kirby 64
Kirby SuperStar is the best Kirby game. I seriously think that should be declared a fact.

I prefer 2D over 3D, however I liked Kirby 64. No 3d and 2d gameplay

Re: Kirby 64
Yeah, I would prefer 2D games over 3D games as well, but that doesn't mean i dont like a little wii or play station once in a while.

What? Kirby 64 was in 3D, but it was a sidescroller, sort of...
