Cid in Final Fantasy

I was wondering how everyone feels about him.
Personally I love seeing him pop up in the story. Although sometimes he's not a playable character and it makes pandas sad. Sometimes he's great and all it right with the world.

A couple examples of a Cid I don't really like(That's my character)

This Cid is cool in the storyline but other than that he just stands there and sometimes moves slightly. I also don't like how he looks. I can't place it but something doesn't look right. His apron is badass though.
I also wanted to post this so the FF fans who'll never play FF11 can see what he looks like.

I think his head and face are to small for his massive body which gives him a ugly look

I personally love Cid mainly only in 3 games

FF2 American Version
FF3 American Version
FF7 just because he is a bad ass with a lance

but other than that he is just ok

i always liked cid in all his forms, just made smile and say "oh! theres cid"
interesting factoid: square put and "edrick" tombstone in ff in the town of elfland, enix retaliated by putting a "cid" grave in dragon quest 3

Yeah I remember that tombstone thing. I thought it was funny but back then I just thought it was the same company. I didn't pay attention as much when I was younger.

i always like cid because he usually was a character of "comic relief" (at least in my gaming experience)

For me...I enjoy seeing Cid while I am playing a Final Fantasy title. His first appearance in a US Final Fantasy title (FFII for SNES) was great; it was a milestone in the story line. Since then, I've always enjoyed seeing him around

He's a classic character in my book.

I really liked Cid in FF7, even though he seemed like an abusive husband. He ended up being a tragic character and I felt bad for him. Plus he would light dynamite off his cigarette and toss it at enemies. Can't get much cooler than that.

Nah I mean he was verbally abusive. Like yelling at his wife a lot and talking down to her. But he turns out to be a good guy, he's just rough around the edges.

it's not a ff game, but you can play as cid in chocobo's dungeon 2 for the ps1... he hits enemies with a wrench, plants mines, and flies airships...
