May Day
I know this is late.... REALLY late, but I want to know ehat you've got to say about it
the May Day Parade, Russia held it for the first time this year, since the collapse of the CCCP(USSR), then they invade Georgia... This is becoming a little unnerving, what do you guys think we sould do?

Either I'm confused or you are. What does MayDay have to do with them invading georgia? Also what can we do anyways? Not like Russia will listen to anyone else.

Re: May Day
Okay, May Say, May 1st, Russia takes out all fo their military might, tanks, nukes, infantry and marches it around, then they flex their muscles again, buy invading Georgia, and threatening further action if any attepmts for them to join NATO. And we can do something about it, we already have, we've opened a missle battery in Poland by the Russian border

Re: May Day
So when you say we you mean the US? If so it doesn't really matter what we do since Russia will still do whatever it wants. We are the last world power they will listen to.
Besides, us putting a missle battery near them is just us flexing our muscles. Hopefully this is just a normal pissing contest and it doesn't turn into another Cold War or even WW3.
Another point is that it's not our business what they do really. As long as they aren't commiting any war crimes that is. Who are we to say they can't take back part of thier country? If the south tried to secede again don't you think we'd have another war? I'm not saying the georgian people don't have a right to be free but why do WE have to get involved?

Re: May Day
lmao, yes we are, and flexing our muscles back it better than letting them trample over us, and Georgia was it's own country, before the USSR, and they already succeeded in being independant from Russia
And be we, i really meant any nation with the capabilities to make any sort of stand back on Russia
Found out, a major reason for the invasion, was Russia doesn't want to pay for the oil in Georgia, so they'll take it by force
by the way Russia is no longer part of NATO(if i read correctly)

Re: May Day
Uhh I hate getting involved in other country's afairs for no reason other then being helpful. The only reason I think the war in Iraq should be kept fighting is that we need to finish what we started, and a bunch of hippies won't let us drill in America so we need that oil.

Haha. Although oil is not the long term solution, we do need something to bridge the gap between now and whenever a new fuel source is discovered/created.
Russia just signed an arms deal with Syria either yesterday or the day before. I don't know the specs on it, but I doubt it was done with the intent of an act of good faith toward the western world.
Now, the question is who's going to be the first person to reply to that statement with, "Well, the U.S. gave weapons to Bin Laden". My response to that is look for the counterpoint to Michael Moore. Always.
