I saw my first commercial for this game have not played it have not even seen much game play but it looks really interesting so if any body does get it make sure to post it here because I want to know as well. Maybe I will look up some reviews

I've played it offline so far. I think it's awesome. But, I'm a huge fan of the Civ series so my opinion is bias. If you've played any Civ games before then you'll see differences right away. This version is more like an arcade game than the previous ones. That doesn't mean it's bad in any way, just different. If/when you get it I'll try to find a time to play you online. Be warned though, I'm pretty awesome at it.

Well Oasis, I believe they use the Sim language(garbled BS is the same thing they speak in The Sims) because it saves space. If they had voice for all the text it would have to be on a PC. Btw the PC civ games have Leonard Nemoy do the voice, it's that epic. But, the only voice in the game is for the research stuff. At least the 360 one has the appearance of talking. You'll get used to it, besides, have you heard Ghandi yet? I laugh everytime.

yeah I have now played the game through on the first 2 dificulties

first as aztecs (currently my favorite for thier healing ablities)
then as america

my first play through was the first time I had a domination vicotory
and my second I attempted to get a domination victory again so I took out russia early while they only had 1 city then I went for egypt I spent the majority of my time trying to crush 1 city but they keep handing my ass to me so after that I changed all my production to gold in all my cities and was making about 2000 per turn so I just forced all my buildings to be built. in a matter of few turns

I think that the hardest victory will be when I try for getting all the great people
it will be the hardest because all the other leaders demand them as soon as I get them and if I dont give them to them then they all go to war with me. there is no way around it. and I hate not being able to demand things from other leaders.

Oasis you know with a spy you can kidnap Great people from other leaders? When it works it basically ruins the town you stole it from too.

;D you know this is the first civ game that for some reason I have a desire to play on higher difficulties most of the time I just play on cheiftan but I am all the way up to warlord...

I just dont like how you cant choose your map size and type because I always like to be on a island by my self.

go to senerios and play on a lightning senerio its much faster game and you learn techs faster so just change all your worker to science and that will allow you to learn even faster.

have not done it all the way yet but it seems to be working

dont trade your techs and buy the other civs techs.

I haven't had tons of experience with the 360 version but going from my years of experience with Civilization games in general I'd say to get a tech victory just play defensive. Don't share Techs at all and focus mainly on boosting research. If you waste time with war then you'll lose time you could've spent on research.
That being said, if you notice another leader passing you in research then you could try to wipe them out, which means you will again be in the lead.

senerios is under new game on the 360 its called lightning round and everything is sped up to rediculus speeds instead of 34 turns to learn something it would only take like 8
