i know in LOZ:TP it has the symbols, and it homestly was just a symbol to begin with, you never really obtained all three only in ALTTP.

Re: the triforce mystery
Yeah that is weird, I didn't notice since I havent played a Zelda game all the way through since Ocarina.
According to wikipedia that last one to focus on the Triforce was Windwaker. Although Twilight Princess had a statue of it.
Maybe they felt it would get boring after awhile if every game Links in he went after the same relic. You'd think he'd eventually win right?

Re: the triforce mystery
if i remember the story in full princess Zelda held a piece of the triforce Gannon the other whoever held both would gain the third and have power of the world. link and Zelda weren't after the triforce but Gannon was so they had to stop him.
i got this from ocarina of time

Re: the triforce mystery
Well yeah, each Link is supposed to be a different person. Like the same soul reborn as the hero. As far as I ever heard. Must be the same for Zelda and Gannon right? That kinds messes things up.
And about the power of the triforce. Gannon got control of it in the Snes one, that's what the darkworld is, Gannon wished to rule Hyrule and that's what happened from his evil tainting it.
I know too much about this game I think...

Re: the triforce mystery
The three main "good guys" are Lui Bei, Guan Yu and Zang Fei. The story goes, the three friends met under a peach blossom tree and swore an oath of brother hood to reunite china under the Han Dynasty(Lui Bei is a relation to them). This is the reason why the chinese gang the Triad chose it's name(not 100% fact but that's the rumor). The oath of three. "Though not born on the same day of the same month in the same year, we hope to die so". It's very famous.
Actually this time period is very important to the chinese people. Guan Yu is still worshiped to this day.
But, in the gaming world the story is all twisted to make for a better game. Like in all the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games(strategy ones) it's totally possible to unite china with any ruler instead of Cao Cao. Also in the games Cao Cao is made to be the "bad guy" but in reality he was a brilliant leader and treated his people well. He's responible for China being called China too.(basically) Also cool is the fact that he's quoted in The Art of War. Yeah that Art of War with Sun Tzu.
The Dynasty Warriors games take alot of liberties with the history too. But it's fine because it's awesome to play as one of these legends. Btw, Guan Yu is the man in all the games. He's just the best.
How's that?

um, no. It was supposed to lead an entryway to the "Unicorn Fountain" but it was taken out.
And no, there is no way to get the Triforce EVEN WITH HACKS.

Re: the triforce mystery
I would call those rumors and not really true just because there is a cave there does not mean that’s what it was intended for give me a link that says differently and I will read it.
next the story of the triforce did change from game to game first it started out that the triforce was needed to kill Gannon (legend of Zelda) then the triforce was needed to bring Zelda back to life (Zelda 2) and you got it after killing Gannon. Legend of Zelda link to the past (Snes) you needed it to save the world and kill Gannon. Then in OoT the triforce gave powers 1 triangle for power 1 for courage and 1 for something else Zelda had it... probably life or something. I never got all the way through wind waker or twilight princess. From what I remember the only one that did not really do much with the triforce was majoras mask. They might have touched it but mostly that game was about the masks

Ahem in Zelda 2 you used the Triforce to awaken Zelda from a sleeping spell cast on her.
And in Majora's Mask they did NOT touch on the Triforce part at ALL, except for maybe the intro.
@Tails: In Twilight Princess you can always see the triforce on Link's hand
