I'm having trouble embedding Youtube videos into my posts. I have to post a link instead. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please, oh wise and ancient gods of retro, help me.

Are you using Chrome? I think it might be a problem with Chrome that it won't embed the links.

No I'm using Firefox. I'm guessing it has something to do with this: "HTTPS signals the browser to use an added encryption layer of SSL/TLS to protect the traffic." I still have a lot to learn.

Youtube used to have https for when you're logged into YT, but recently spread that as the default site wide.

You can rip off the http:// entirely, starting the link with the www bit.
