Score submission hasn't posted

Hello,

I am fairly new to retrouprising and have already successfully submitted scores on at least three arcade titles. Each one of these scores showed up within a day. I have subsequently submitted a new higher score for one of these titles and it has been over a week, perhaps two, without an update.

I also submitted a score for a new title yesterday and am waiting to see if it will post today.

I was wondering if I should really be concerned about this, or is there a reason for the delay.

I have also made a donation to this work, yet I don't see any links to watch the games that it says I should be able to watch.

Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, welcome to Retro Uprising

Are you sure? I just checked the Score Queue and there were no submissions by you. To submit a score you have to first be playing on ArcadeOx Score Mode and press F12 at the score screen to submit your submission. Playing on ArcadeOx Full Mode doesn't have high score capability.

As for the donor thing, it doesn't appear as if the system has recognized your donation. I would bet that it's a bug and if that's so, it'll get fixed shortly. Thank you for your patience

You have to understand there are 6 mods who do scores and not everyone can be on every day. We all have lives. I would say that a score usually gets approved within a day of its submission.

@ProveAll: The donations aren't automatically updated. They have to be manually done by either Kong or myself. I'll go take a look for you.

@ProveAll & TK2014: I don't see your scores in the score queue. I'll see if I can fetch them.

The only score that I see in the Score Queue from you is the Ms Pac Man one from today.

We like to play games, too!

It also depends on the length of the submission. Sometimes we only have time to watch a couple of 5 minute submissions, so ones beyond an hour could take a little longer.

I appreciate the responses. I did notice that a game of DK I played yesterday has been posted, but my other submissions have not. I played a game of Pac-Man the other day and scored over 3million. I did everything I was supposed to do (F12 and wait for confirmation message). I am only concerned about this because I would seriously reconsider playing another game like this if it is uncertain that it will show up in the queue.

Dude, the site is free! Having to wait for a coupla days for someone, unpaid, and largely unthanked, to plough through dozens of random strangers' inps is hardly a hardship!

exactly...and David, when you do longer games it may be longer as with any scoreboard for a ref to have a few hours to watch the inp. this also is why a 5-10 minute inp will get reviewed quickly and a 3 hour confirmation wait several days perhaps even a couple weeks.

however, you should be able to view all scores for the game track and see your score listed even without it being confirmed. this is a great way to confirm you are in the queue. if it's missing from that score list(may have to refresh) then perhaps issues on submission.

Hi, I have been playing Crush Roller and have been trying to post a 2nd place score for a week now with no luck. I am running Windows 7, Firefox 28.0. F12 does nothing when trying to save score. I found F6 allows me to save "State To" what ever that means. Any help on what I am doing wrong would be great thanks.

Sounds to me like you're playing in Full Mode instead of Score Mode as I don't think you can use save states in Score Mode.

No I am playing in score mode.

I figured it out, I am playing on a laptop. I have to press the FN Key and then press F12 at the same time to post score....

Not to nitpick, but you don't need to hit them at the same time, just hit FN and then F12, FN just activates the F keys.

I hate being a pain in the arse, but I also have a few scores that need updating. Its been a few days and I have noticed quite a few other scores were posted since mine.

I'm having the same problem. I've saved about 7 or so first-place scores on different games but only 1 is showing up. If they're pending in the queue or whatever that's cool. I don't mind being patient, I just want to make sure that it's working probably.

Cool man, thanks. I can understand why contest scores take priority - no worries.

No worries there. Non-contest scores are given the same priority as contest scores. I wont have our normal user base get pushed aside because a contest is going on.

All scores are reviewed by oldest first unless there are extenuating circumstances (such as a long video that the mod doesn't have time to watch or a score that is waiting for a second mod's opinion because the initial reviewer had questions).

All that being said, it still will take a bit longer as score submissions have more than doubled. We appreciate your patience.

I know it's busy, but I'm still waiting on my Champion Wrestler score + clear.

I'm only saying something because my Time Soldiers score was posted, and that was only a couple days ago. This score was from July 3rd.

I understand there was only 1 mod doing scores this past weekend, but I still have a couple of scores from 5 and 7 days ago that haven't been looked at yet. Thank you.
