Can you believe they made ANOTHER Twisted Metal?
On the PS1, there was a game series called, Twisted Metal. In this game was a contest simalar to mortal kombat but with car loaded with weapons and different powerups to pick up throughout the terrain. They accually made ANOTHER Twisted Metal game for the PS3!!! I couldn't believe how long it was since I played the game. it got a much better rating than I thought, I think it was a 6/10.

Re: Can you believe they made ANOTHER Twisted Metal?
Guys why do you have a problem with him posting stuff like this in spam/junk? If you don't like it don't reply and move on. He's not hurting anyone.
On to Twisted Metal. I wouldn't compare it to Mortal Kombat besides the fact that you fight each other. I loved the first couple games but they went downhill from there. Hopefully the PS3 one goes back to what made the first few so great. By the way this one is the 10th game in the series I think.
Does Outlaw still own all? You know the cop car, he was my favorite.

i personally liked twisted metal 2 the most. (i liked minion, even though he was cheap). hopefully tm3 is better than its predecessors, if the ps3 picks up speed.

Outlaw/Police car/Carl Roberts/A cop wishing to stop the tournament for good./Tazer.
and the PS3 one was described as "a walk through memory lane" so it's probably not that different.

Re: Can you believe they made ANOTHER Twisted Metal?
Yeah Outlaw shocked people in an area around him, so I'd see a person, turbo right into them and use the move. They'd go flying up in the air as I turn around for another shock. Worked quite well.

No. These games are like racing games minus the race part. You pick a vehicle, drive around and look for players/power ups. Then you shoot the crap out of each other until someone goes boom. Wicked fun.

Yeah TM2 was probably the best overall. And yeah, Minion was fun to play even though he was super cheap. Didn't he use almost everyones special at once(including freeze)? Was alot of fun to beat someone who was playing as Minion.

Kind of. Except TM didn't have any race tracks really. You'd be in towns and other stuff. Like Paris, you can get in the Eiffel tower and it leads to the rooftops. You should find a copy of TM1 or 2 and try it if you got a PS1/2 or 3.

Re: Can you believe they made ANOTHER Twisted Metal?
yeah, you could go on rooftops and stuff in tm2. and minion did have the x2000 weapons special, that's a reason why he was kindof cheap, not to mention he was built like a tank (figuratively and literally)

Yeah being able to ride over people and super special them was very cheap. But can't deny the fun factor. And like I said before, when you kill someone playing minion it's awesome.

Re: Can you believe they made ANOTHER Twisted Metal?
I used the General guy with the tank in TM4. I was cheap, I laid a bomb on a jump and waited for someone to go off it and blow them up. In TM4 the cheapest person was probably the garbage man because he holds and slams you while you can shoot them with guns and use powerups you picked up.

Re: Can you believe they made ANOTHER Twisted Metal?
Dude, I loved Twisted Metal. I played alot of TM 2 and a ton of TM Black (my first PS2 game I ever got).
I loved in TM Black all the videos of the background stories and all that crap. I must have been 12 or so when I got my PS2 and in retrospect TM Black might not have been the best game for me to be playing, but I loved it so much.
My favorite character in TM 2 was Hammerhead (I think that was the name) the two dudes in the monster truck. And in TM black I went with Yellow Jacket I think.
Man, I loved Twisted Metal. In fact, I think I am going to go play it in a little bit.

Dudebro has it exactly right. Outlaw was the MAN. Fast, elusive, and a killer special weapon. I'd like to see if anyone has played the new version. I bet it's pretty sweet.
BTW, TrakMasta Tom, I love the ODB reference!!! In fact, I'm giving you added rep for it.
The strange coincidence is that I used to listen to that CD WHILE PLAYING Twisted Metal 2. No joke!
Now, #2 practiced the snake style...
