I sure am glad that they traded half their team away and spent millions of dollars to get all the new guys.
It's kind of pathetic that the people carrying the team are Inge who was going to sit the bench this year and Clete Thomas who just came up from the minors.

The thing about baseball is it's a loooooong season.

Although the situation wasn't quite as bleak, look at the Phillies from last season as an example. A 4-11 start in April, mediocre play in clutch moments throughout the season and key injuries turned into one of the greatest comeback stories in sports history and the NL East Pennant. As long as the Tigers don't pull something like a 4 or 5 win April, I wouldn't count them out of the AL Central race. I look for them to play well against Boston.

Yeah I'm hoping they'll do better this week against boston, and I think Granderson and Rodney were supposed to be coming back in a couple of weeks too.

Tigers will be fine. They've got a lousy bullpen, but once their position players are all healthy and the starting pitching gets their act together, the Tiger WILL contend for the AL Central pennant.

Anyone see the Cubs-Pirates game go to the 12th? The cubs let an 8-0 led get to 8-8 but ended up winning. 15 pitchers use that game between the 2 of them. Lets see how both bullpens hold up today with one day of rest...
